Enjoy 10 acres shared between 2 sites! The two campsites are large and can accommodate approximately 6 tents comfortably at each. If more is needed let us know we have room and can accommodate. There is a shared bathroom/changing room and trash/recycling between the sites. There is a water point in the barn if you need to fill up on drinking water just make sure you have a container for it. Site includes a picnic table and firepit and many acres with downed trees to salvage. Bundles of firewood can be purchased if needed. This area includes a back pasture and woods with trails throughout for walking/mountain biking. There are many horse trails in the area, if you want to bring your horses that is fine as long as you bring containment for them and clear it with us first. We are approximately 1 mile from a rum river access. There are multiple river trip options from our property. We are also 3 mins from lake george and the Rum River Regional Park for swimming, biking, fishing, boating, and more paddling. There is a Bills gas n grocery as well as a G-will liquors less than a minute from the property. The Ponds golf course is about 4 mins away as well. If you are looking to hit downtown Anoka that is a straight shot and approx 12 mins away. This site is on an active hobby farm that has dogs, cats, horses, chickens, goats, turkeys, and multiple gardens. We have a farm stand by the road where we sell items such as fresh roasted coffee, eggs, BBQ sauce, pickles, maple syrup, hot sauce, and more! We are very pet friendly and like to meet new furry faces, so feel free to bring them along!

How we ended up in Knife Lake Township on 81 acres of forested land. We began looking for land in late fall of 1996. After several months of searching, we happened upon a tiny newspaper ad for 81 acres of land described as "Beautiful, secluded, mature hardwoods, tall pines w/creek & beaver pond, many gd bldg sites & great hunting". We toured the property, covered in almost two feet of snow, on a snowmobile in January 1997 and fell in love with it. We have been stewards of this piece of land for 25 years and are still enamored of its beauty and diversity. We are lulled to sleep by the sounds of owls and bullfrogs and the distant yipping of coyotes. Spring through fall we are often awakened by the rattling, honking of sandhill cranes and a wide variety of bird songs. Besides deer and lots of small critters, we've seen bear, bobcat, rafters of turkeys, quail, grouse, pheasant, owls, hawks and eagles. The sky, on a clear night, is breathtaking. We have always visualized sharing the land with others, so come and immerse yourself in this bountiful space.

Beautiful 8 acre campground on Lake Placid 10 miles west of Brainerd MN. The Campground has 4 full RV hook ups with power, water and sewer. 1 RV site with power and water. The water comes from a low flow well that has been tested and is potable. It is great to fill your RV tanks. There is also several level areas for tents. There are 2 fire rings for camp fires a propane and charcoal grill. The campground has a dock to access the lake and Crow Wing river. There is approximately 25 steps down the bank to the dock. The steps are newer but steep, If you choose to use them you do so at your own risk.

Tent camped on site one and it was lovely! We got in pretty late so we didn’t get to enjoy the nice fire pit as we were just setting up to sleep. Got up in the AM and took a short walk to see the pretty horses, chicken, and turkeys. The turkeys have pretty big personalities! 10/10

We had a fun time at the Shady Hideaway site! My husband and I, unfortunately, had a rainstorm roll in the first day of our weekend trip, but we still had a lovely time just relaxing in the tent and listening to the rain. The site is very private and a great location to relax and enjoy a weekend out of the cities. We also got to see some super cute goats down the path!

We lived camping on Randy’s land. It was so spacious and made the 4 campers plus the tents have plenty of space and kids loved fishing off the docks all day long. Tons of grass areas for the dogs to run and play.

Other campsite was having karaoke night with a bunch of people past midnight and Jon took care of our so we could get some sleep! Campsite 1 is on a slope so choose your tent pad wisely. Really enjoyed camping so close to the twin cities and we visited Lake George (lovely beach) and Rum River Regional Park for some biking and running through the woods on great paved trails. Water source is in the wood cabinet directly to your left through the red barn’s main door.

Randy’s land was the perfect spot for our group of 8 adults, 5 kids and 2 dogs! All 3 campers had full hook ups which was amazing! We put in our boat and were able to keep it in the water all weekend at the dock. We also enjoyed paddle boarding and fishing off the dock. Randy was incredibly kind and accommodating. 10/10 experience and we hope to stay here again someday

Weekend Trip to Spirits of the Forest
Would recommend staying at Bob and Roxanne’s! A beautiful area for camping. We had a perfect night under the stars and full moon enjoying a bonfire and sounds of nature around us (sandhill cranes, loons, owls, redstarts, and even some wolves howling during the night). The site was private and quite spacious. The flies and mosquitos were out in force during the day but they provided a mesh shelter that was nice to hang out in. The outhouse (very nice and clean) is a bit of a walk at night, but they provided potable water at our site so we were able to brush our teeth without walking to the outhouse. The yurt was sturdy and spacious and cooled down well for sleep. The town of Mora was only 12-15 mins from the property making it easy to access restaurants or grocery stores. Bob and Rox are very friendly and were very responsive to questions I had prior to arrival. We would definitely recommend this spot!

Weekend Trip to The Oaks at Oakwood Farm
We took our dog on her first camping trip and Jon's place was the perfect spot. We had plenty of room to spread out, and loved having a few tree options both for putting up our dog tether but also for our hammock. It was much more secluded than if we had gone to our local county park, but we still felt close enough to civilization that we could feel comfortable with our pup's first camp experience. We enjoyed the Turkey, as all previous reviews mentioned. We also got to meet some nice goats and visit their farm stand to pick up some coffee on our way out. The instructions for this site were very clear and the messages/instructions we received we really helpful in helping us get to the site and know what was expected of us. The bathroom was quite nice/spacious and not too far away. We only stayed for one night but we really enjoyed ourselves and would go back again sometime.
