Great Site. Loved that it was just outside the entrance to Cayuna Country Sagamore unit. Our family really enjoyed the site. Plenty of space, nice level area for our camper. Our family was able to enjoy the mountain bike trails and then retreat back to the site for relaxation time. We are already talking about our next trip back. Only downside to the site is the proximity to the highway as you do have constant road noise. Also it seemed like we were in the approach line for the airport. This wasn't so bad as it was fun to watch the planes and they were not going after dark.

This is indeed a camping spot to be proud of!
Obviously much thought went into to creating this amazing spot. A nicely decorated and maintained huge space, evergreens planted for even more privacy, generous DRY wood supply, super clean outhouse with light, table with bench and electricity.
The hayfields were mowed and our dog sure enjoyed running over it. There is even a path through the woods.
One of our favorite hipcamps, we would love to return.

This space is awesome. Very well maintained. Plenty of firewood. The porta john was the cleanest one we’ve ever seen. Great location, just outside of the Sagamore unit. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time! Super nice, large mowed area nestled in a gorgeous area of woods and fields. We watched sandhill cranes take off multiple times (my favorite creatures!). The amenities were awesome: dry wood, electric, and an outhouse. My dogs had a blast. Eric was a wonderful host! Thank you!

To keep this place on the DL but it was absolutely fabulous. Half a mile to clear lake paddleboarding or some of the best MB trails in the area. Huge space totally fine for 2 campers and power for both. Well water needed a filter but then was delicious. Kellie and Paul were awesome hosts. Very quiet beautiful space.

I loved camping at the lost 40, the land is well maintained and private, the vibes were really good, and the views were wonderful. There is a nice beach nearby, over all an awesome experience. Eric was responsive and super helpful, would definitely camping here again!

This was a great place to stay for a quiet, peaceful camping experience. We loved the use of the fire pit, the wood Eric allowed us to use and the bbq grate we used. This place was clean and well manicured. We have been camping for a month and this was our most private spot!

Thanks for sharing your land Paul! We had a great stay at The Black Loon. The property has a large and mostly flat clearing in the middle surrounded by woods. My son loved riding his bike on the well maintained trail that goes through the woods around the perimeter. There was a ton of perfect firewood right by the large fire pit which was a big perk for us. The only drawback is the road noise as there is a busy road very nearby so if you are sleeping in a tent be prepared to have some road noise to deal with. Wasn't a deal breaker for me and we would love to stay again sometime if the opportunity presented. Paul was very responsive and we would absolutely recommend his hipcamp!

We had a great time camping at Dirt Haven! It was so great I almost want to keep it a secret. Having power for our camper was great, plus a stove and a place to store our bikes and equipment. There is plenty of space and having a bit of privacy was wonderful for our trip. It was easy to get to town to find activities and food, and then back to peace and quiet. We have already recommended it to our friends! Our hosts were super helpful and welcoming. This is a 15/10 stay!

Large open space surrounded by tall trees at the end of a cul-de-sac providing a pretty private and secluded site. LOTS OF SPACE. Way more than expected. Ample firewood and rock fire pit. Nice deck chairs and a gazebo with netting is at the site. Nice flat pads for tents. The site is pretty close to the mine pit boat landing which provided a nice relief from the heat over the weekend.

Paul’s set up makes camping a breeze. Plenty of seating, beautiful fire pit with free firewood available, porta potty, some shelter for evening hanging or protection from rain and nice tent pads. It stormed a lot the night I was camping and the tent pads drained nicely and did not pool water around my tent. The site is very easy to get to from the main road. Enjoy!

Great experience all around! This was our first Hip Camp adventure and it has us looking for more opportunities. Larry gave us a warm welcome so it was inviting from the start. It’s a beautiful property and the campsite was delightful. We were visited by deer, a big old raccoon, a wide variety of birds and a half dozen cows from a neighboring farm. If you are an early riser, you hear a rooster crow from across a huge field. Our 4 little city dogs had a blast. We are grateful to this Hip Camp host for sharing a very special place. Highly recommended!!! K & L

Large clearing surrounded by tall tree of a paved cul-de-sac. The road is very private with about 5 other simular plots of land. My kids were able to bike around in the cul-de-sac. About a half mile away there are trails and a lake access. It is a strep hill so be aware and if you drive there is a fee. We had a great time at the campsite and would recommend to family and friends.
