Welcome to Masters Rustic Retreat. We have a unique cabin on a site overlooking the Belle River, Glamp under the stars. *** There is no running water, however we have 5 gallon jugs provided to clean dishes, wash your hands etc.* 
Unplug on this secluded hideaway, If you love to be in nature but don't like the hassle of camping this is the place for you! We have trails to walk though, a fire pit, and hammock you can enjoy.

Home Away From Home

Bear Lake Experience is a 42 Acre wooded property , with so much nature to explore . This is a real back to nature experience , close to home .   Our 15 sites have 30 Amp power and are nestled along the  2 acre spring fed lake. 

The property has been in our family for nearly 100 years, we are the 3rd generation that has enjoyed this unique hidden gem.

We look forward to sharing our experiences with everyone that comes

Camping on our Organic Farm

WHAT'S NEW ON THE FARM 2025

This year we are expecting a foal (baby horse).  The end of April.

We are also milking a family cow for our own milk as well. Her name is Daisy.

We are also bottle feeding two calves at this time.

We will have Great Pyrenees puppies from April through mid July. Come and spend some time with them!

ABOUT DOREEN

I’m an entrepreneur. I’m all about health and taking care of the mind, body and spirit.

I’m an organic farmer, an animal nut, health coach, mindset mentor

and Psych-K facilitator.

I have six children and hosted three foreign exchange students. I love kids, animals (especially horses) and nature. I love anything and everything about health and personal growth and well being.

ABOUT THE FARM

We have a working, organic farm with a lot of animals, however, we also do crops as well. This particular farm is 138 acres with 8 acres of woods. We have working dogs, sheep, cattle, horses,  a couple goatsWe have some super great animals. Most of which are very friendly.

You never know what will be available to see on the farm when you visit. We are expecting a foal (baby horse) this summer (2021)

and are already planning for another foal next summer as well. We often have puppies as well and sometimes we have to bottle feed lambs. There's never a dull moment.

Our farm is unique in the way of having a very positive VIBE to it. The energy is awesome! It's really a space of tranquility and healing if you allow yourself to go there.

After hosting with air bnb for a little over a year now, we decided to give this a try as well. We love hosting people and having them come to the farm and enjoy our way of life. It also helps to have a supplemental income as having and running a small family farm isn't very sustainable. Typically there's off the farm jobs to help pay for the farm life. It's a crazy equation. Small family farms are far and few between. Please support your local farmer if possible! It is greatly appreciated!

River Front Nature Escape

We have few sites , one for your RV all services , a second site that has a older RV that is hooked up and available to rent.  A third that has another older camper that has no services but overlooks the river , good spot for a bon fire and 
sleeping with  many places to pitch a tent.

Welcome to Thousand Suns – an 84-acre sanctuary nestled in the heart of nature, lovingly cultivated to support healing, reflection, and connection. This isn’t your typical campground. Here, the land is vibrantly alive and holds space for both traditional and non-traditional ceremonies, as well as moments of quiet solitude or joyful gathering.

Wander scenic forest trails, swim in spring-fed waters, or sit beside the flowing river — all part of a landscape that invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and return to yourself. Whether you’re here to rest, explore, or reconnect, Thousand Suns offers a grounded, heart-centered experience.

Throughout the month, we host community events and offer private sessions in yoga, bodywork, breathwork, and other holistic practices designed to nourish the body and spirit. Fresh eggs are available from our chickens and turkeys, and you’ll likely spot our friendly goats during your stay.

Guests are welcome to use the community kitchen — a shared space where you can store your food and prepare meals with ease.

Thousand Suns is the perfect retreat for solo travelers, families, and spiritual seekers alike. Whether you’re gathering with loved ones or journeying inward, our land provides a supportive and sacred backdrop.

Please note: a train passes by the front of the property several times a day. While some find it grounding and nostalgic, others may wish to bring earplugs if they’re sensitive to sound.

Welcome to Camping on Ridge!

There is a large clearing for your tent/RV/Trailer and fire pit on our private wooded 50-acre country setting. Large pond for on-site fishing (catch & release). The sites are suitable for 1-2 tents, 2-4 people.  1 vehicle. The additional vehicle is $5/night. We offer the use of a bathroom facility. Firewood is available to purchase along with farm-fresh eggs. 

Short drive to amazing beaches on Lake Huron, rivers for those who love canoeing/kayaking, provincial park, wineries, cider houses, and craft breweries. There are many golf courses in the area if you’re in search of a golfing weekend. You will not be disappointed!
