10/12/25 The camping season in Michigan is coming to a close. We'll be open through October with full closure starting Nov. 1 through mid-March 2026. If the weather is kind, 2 sites will open, followed by the other 2 beginning May 1. Glad to be able to offer our slice of heaven to you again next year! Thank you to all who chose to stay this year. ***For the preservation of our property, our septic system, the privacy of other campers, all arrivals MUST be prior to dark setting in. If you can't see the signs & posts, you can damage our property AND your vehicle/equipment. Please see the site rules for current max time for check-in. (With changing daylight hours, this time limit will change throughout the season.) *The property has a lot of wildlife; Deer, Turkey, Rabbits, Coyote, Birds, & Fox. *A small creek runs across the back of the property. *There are many lakes just minutes away, as well as the Huron river for fishing & kayaking. *Public beaches at Lake Chemung & Bishop Lake. *Campfires allowed. Plenty of dead wood around, or you can purchase firewood bundles onsite. *Potable water is available to fill water tanks & containers. It is softened from the house. *Sewer dump station is 5 miles away at Brighton Rec Area (there is a fee). *Pets are allowed (cats & dogs only). They must be leashed at all times (15 ft. max). *Guests that are not part of the Hipcamp Reservation, are not allowed on-site. Guests will need to be met at a location other than our Hipcamp. There are numerous places nearby to gather instead. This assures maximum privacy for all sites & for our family. ***SUMMER ACTIVITIES: *Howell Balloon fest in June. *Howell Melon fest in August. *Captain Frosty's Ice Cream is located approximately 2–3 miles away. They offer a variety of ice cream deliciousness, slushies, shakes, and malts. ***FALL ACTIVITIES: *U-Pick Pumpkin Patch and Petting Farm next door. Free wagon rides on the weekends and a free corn maze anytime. Purchases available: pumpkins, cornstalks, Indian corn, gourds, squash, mums, honey, and other wonderful treats. *Terrified Forest and Haunted Mansion are just 1 mile away beginning around mid-September for Halloween. *Apple Orchard is 3–4 miles away. It was the second time we stayed at Julie’s place. The site was very well-maintained, private and beautiful. And there is a farm right next door for some daily activities, especially in the fall! Julie was very flexible and attentive to all my questions. Would definitely recommend this place!

There are beautiful wooded trails, a nearby cider mill, petting farm, pumpkin patch, and a corn maze to explore during the fall. Tom and Julie are very welcoming, friendly, and accommodating, ensuring a safe and memorable stay.

Perfect spot to have some privacy and feel safe. Camping on grass and some level ground is really nice as opposed to a beet down Public camp ground. I sat and talked with owner Tom, great guy. They call people like this good folk. Real good site too solid ground, lots of geese and cranes went by multiple times. Loved the stay here. We tested out a new air tent here had several nice fires and ate few really good steaks our last night. I almost hate post up here about this little gem in fear of others finding out about this gem. Oh did I mention how Responsive and respectful Julie was in returning information and questions getting answered.

We had an awesome time at B’Mos hideout. A great nature sanctuary with a very hospitable and responsible host Bryan - who also gives plenty of space and privacy. We ran out of wood on our second night and Brian popped over in 15 minutes with more bundles. The property is well kept. Great place to hangout and be one with nature. If you’re looking for a hardcore hiking experience tho, this is not that. The trails on the property go in a loop, and there is plenty of hiking to do off trail, but it’s not the miles of trails you may find in a state park. This property is in a rural neighborhood, so some of the neighbors have working dogs, others have shooting ranges, and there is a road nearby so it’s not 100% secluded from civilization. Nonetheless, it was a fantastic way to slow down, recharge, and enjoy the breeze in the trees!

My partner and I LOVED camping with Brian. The site was perfect and the trails were beautiful. The campsites were a pretty good walk from each other and you have the option to put up ropes for completely privacy. Brian was an amazing host, he explained the land and area really well and was great to talk to. We had a few troubles including not being able to blow up our air mattress and even our car battery needing a jump and he was just a call away ready to help!!! Really a good guy and a great place to set up camp. 10/10 recommend this camp as we will be back with our friends!!

We stayed here in our Skoolie over labor day weekend. Site 1 had a nice up north feeling without have to go up north! Private, quiet and peaceful. Great place for bird watching.

I love camping here this place is amazing. Nothing like sitting in your tent looking out and seeing 15 turkey the next morning we seen two ten point bucks staring at us and the trails are also great and the host, Bryan he's the best, will definitely be back.

As I mentioned in my other review this was so amazing I booked the very next night when my travel plans fell through do to weather. I added on a the solar shower and it was amazing!! Which that is also set up really nice if you’re not by yourself. You can take a shower in nature and privacy!

I've been camping at various Hipcamps this summer. While each and every experience has been wonderful, Tom and Julie's land is outstanding with beautiful scenery. They've thought of everything. Easy to follow site map, land markers to each private campsite, wooded trails with a bridge covered creek, an open meadow and "park", potable water, an oder free valted outhouse with easy access to each site, fire rings, firewood (for a small fee) and a sled to pull the wood to each site, and best of all, they are great hosts. This is a must camp experience rich in history. I'm looking forward to camping here this fall to view all of the fall colors.

Loved this place so much I booked another night!! Bryan was so welcoming! I’m on a few month long roadtrip & was just looking for a place to wind down and relax. And I was blown away with how relaxing this site was! I watched the fireflies and bats above in the evening. Then stargazed all night. There was so many birds and even a group turkeys that stopped by to say hello. I’m a solo female and safety is a huge thing when I’m looking for sites. Not only was this super secluded, but felt so safe I even participated in the clothing optional opportunity. Never would I of thought that was ever an option using Hipcamp. Bryan also had that set up perfectly with ropes and signs. I can see why there’s so many reviews on people coming back to camp!

Had a great time there. Bryan was a great host, very friendly and accommodating! The site was huge compared to other camp sites I've been to before. The clothing optional part was great! Enjoyed the trails in the woods, and the fact that he has the sites sprayed for mosquitoes! Can't wait to go again next year!

Our camping experience at Brian's campsite was nothing short of magical. Set amidst over 40 acres of stunning, wooded terrain, the site was a veritable oasis of natural wonder. The beauty of this place was truly awe-inspiring, with lush trails meandering through the forest, beckoning us to explore. The trails on Brian's property were a hiker's dream. Towering trees provided a cool canopy, and the sunlight filtering through the leaves created a mesmerizing play of shadows and light. The forest floor was a tapestry of moss and wildflowers, a perfect complement to the towering trees that surrounded us. It was a picturesque setting, to say the least. But it wasn't just the scenery that made this experience unforgettable; it was the bonds we formed with over 30 incredible women. We came together to learn how to live off the land, and in doing so, we discovered a profound sense of camaraderie. Sharing stories around the campfire, learning to identify healing herbs, mushrooms, and berries, and helping one another set up tents and build fires—it was a beautiful journey of discovery and teamwork. For 23 of the women, this camping trip marked their very first outdoor adventure. Watching them embrace the wilderness with enthusiasm and conquer their initial apprehensions was a heartwarming experience. It was evident that the outdoors had a transformative effect on them, instilling confidence and a deep appreciation for nature.
