Wow! What a magical place. I had an amazing time camping at Eagle Pines On The Bad River and spending a gorgeous exploring Deans land. He’s clearly put much time and care into building and maintaining the trails. The map, signs and ribbons were very helpful for navigating the area. It was an absolute delight and adventure hiking the trails and wandering around the three waterfalls.
Dean was also an excellent host. He was incredibly accommodating, responded quickly to my messages and provided very detailed instructions and recommendations upon booking.
I highly recommend these sites to anyone wanting a peaceful, somewhat rustic and secluded spot to stargaze, canoe/kayak, hike and commune with the land and water. I hope to visit again soon.

Loved our time at this spot! Beautiful camp with amazing giant pine trees and a great setting on the river. Definitely plan to return! The river was low at this time of the year, but still managed to get out on the canoe provided and that was a great surprise to have available. We even saw a pair of swans!

One of the best hip camps we have ever been to…. Maybe even the absolute best. Michael has great communication, the site was beautiful and private, and please don’t miss out on taking a ride in the supplied canoe. It’s a beautiful place! This is our second time there and we will return again.

The campsite was magical! If you're looking for a beautiful place to really get off the beaten path, this is a great place to do it. The river was nice for a cooling swim on a hot day. Dean takes very good care of the property. I could occasionally hear voices off in the distance from other campers and their dogs, but I never saw another person in the day and night I spent there.

It's easy to see why this place is booked every weekend in the summer up here. This spot is beautiful and very well maintained. The site has a number of flat open areas for choosing where to set up a tent and the parking pad is also pretty level if you car camp like we do. The entire site is also sandy, so getting tent stakes in would be a breeze. The host, Dean, did inform us that he was away and wouldn't be able to stock the firewood, so not having firewood there when I arrived was not a huge shock. Very appreciative that he communicated that ahead of time, along with his thorough communications outside of the firewood.
Due to me and my partner getting sick the weekend we had planned on camping, only I made the trip to the site just to check it out and I did not stay overnight, but I can imagine it would have been a very restful spot as it was a quiet spot with great access to the a night sky.

The land is beautiful, my actual dream. Quick walk to the nearby bar. 8-10ish minutes to Dollar General/gas stations for ice & supplies if need-be. Took a nap out on the dock while my dog dug around the river. No cell service whatsoever, my phone went into SOS mode actually, couldn’t send or receive anything (yay, just letting yall know don’t expect to be on the grid while you’re here)
We loved it. So, so peaceful.

Campsite at hidden pines was a wonderful secluded getaway. It is quite evident that Dean gives his heart in the labor required to maintain his sites! We had light rain each day or evening we were there, but still able to paddle the river a bit and enjoy the campfire. Bring or make some mosquito repellant in case of rain. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ if pack in pack out is your "thing"!!!

We stayed this past weekend and it was a nice, well maintained property. We tent camped with kids and dogs and had no issues with the site. Really nice view of the river and it was really convenient to be able to buy the wood -as needed- on site. We did encounter some heavy mosquito activity but as long as you have bug repellents you’ll do well. The kids loved getting to use the canoe and fishing off the dock. The fish we caught were all on the smaller side but fun was had nonetheless! Outhouse had toilet paper and disinfectants provided and the camp host communicated well about expectations and precautions.

Dean’s land was perfect for us. We stayed at the RV site in our smaller camper van. Totally private, wooded with a stream/river flowing just below the camp. Plenty of shade for those warm summer days. Didn’t have time to use the canoe but nice that it’s available, the dock allows you to get out onto the river. Having firewood right there for sale at the camp was so convenient as was the fireplace mounted grill for cooking. And a nice picnic table available. We were very pleased and would definitely stay again when in the area.
