The post & beam barn is useful for those rainy days with its farm style tables, rocking chairs, coffee maker, toaster oven, hot plate and guest refrigerator. Available for purchase are items such as ice, firewood, farm-fresh eggs, water, drinks, ice cream and baked goods. Corn-hole and other lawn games are also available for your enjoyment. Unique LaVerna Preserve is a 10 minute walk from the cabin and boasts amazing geological features. World-renowned Damariscotta River Oysters are available in many restaurants in nearby Damariscotta. The Pond Cabin is a 12 ft. x 16 ft. timber frame with a 6'x8' sleeping loft nestled 150 feet off a private, dirt road. As the crow flies, the Pond Cabin is 1/4 mile from the open ocean. Hipcampers will hear lobster boats, gulls and ocean swells. A small pond is just across the small dirt road and provides habitat for peepers and bullfrogs, as well as multiple bird species. The cabin is quite private and tucked into the woods on 3 sides. Nearby attractions include: Long Cove Point (less than 1 mile away), LaVerna Preserve (less than 1 mile away), Pemaquid Beach (a 10 minute drive), Pemaquid Point Lighthouse (a 15 minute drive), Hardy Boat Cruises to Monhegan Island and wildlife viewing tours (a 10 minute Drive), Round Pond Village (a 10 minute drive), as well as boat launch access at Round Pond Village. Fort William Henry is also nearby (a 10 minute drive). Kayak/canoe rentals are available at Bristol Mills and at the site containing Fort William Henry. The beds are covered with Allerease mattress protectors which are antimicrobial and provide allergen protection. Guests should bring their own bedding or sleeping bags. 4 pillows are provided, also covered with Allerease zippered covers. We use a Porta Potty with a hand washing sink inside. The Pond cabin does not have running water, but it does have drinking water and a hand washing sink. The Pond Cabin now has electricity. There is a hiking trail, about a mile long, from the cabin that gives you direct access to the ocean and nearby LaVerna Nature Preserve, a spectacular preserve with sweeping views to the open ocean and unique geologic features. Also, little ones will find the beginnings of a "fairy village" behind the cabin. Many upgrades have been done including a new porch, a loft with a queen bed, a Rinnai heater and 5 outlets on the lower level. Enjoy!

We had enjoyed having him and his yurt on our land so when he left, It left a virtual and metaphorical hole. A couple years later we had an opportunity to purchase a yurt from an outdoor adventure company and so it began. We improved upon our tenant's idea by adding a proper outhouse and outdoor shower area. The space offered us a quiet haven during hectic times and now we are ready to share that opportunity. Our yurt sits on a quiet and private nook on our 7 acre property. We are right in between Kennebunk and Biddeford so there are quite a number of areas to explore if you make us your home base. It is a lovely 6 mile ride to Goose Rocks Beach or you can spend an afternoon walking around Dock's Square in Kennebunkport. Biddeford is a rapidly rebuilding mill town that has made several high profile food and travel publications for its great dining spots. If you are visiting to get away from the city, we are less than a mile away from the Eastern Trail which connects South Portland to Kittery, ME. Bring a bike or plan a quiet walk. The Pond Cabin is a 12 ft. x 16 ft. timber frame with a 6'x8' sleeping loft nestled 150 feet off a private, dirt road. As the crow flies, the Pond Cabin is 1/4 mile from the open ocean. Hipcampers will hear lobster boats, gulls and ocean swells. A small pond is just across the small dirt road and provides habitat for peepers and bullfrogs, as well as multiple bird species. The cabin is quite private and tucked into the woods on 3 sides. Nearby attractions include: Long Cove Point (less than 1 mile away), LaVerna Preserve (less than 1 mile away), Pemaquid Beach (a 10 minute drive), Pemaquid Point Lighthouse (a 15 minute drive), Hardy Boat Cruises to Monhegan Island and wildlife viewing tours (a 10 minute Drive), Round Pond Village (a 10 minute drive), as well as boat launch access at Round Pond Village. Fort William Henry is also nearby (a 10 minute drive). Kayak/canoe rentals are available at Bristol Mills and at the site containing Fort William Henry. The beds are covered with Allerease mattress protectors which are antimicrobial and provide allergen protection. Guests should bring their own bedding or sleeping bags. 4 pillows are provided, also covered with Allerease zippered covers. We use a Porta Potty with a hand washing sink inside. The Pond cabin does not have running water, but it does have drinking water and a hand washing sink. The Pond Cabin now has electricity. There is a hiking trail, about a mile long, from the cabin that gives you direct access to the ocean and nearby LaVerna Nature Preserve, a spectacular preserve with sweeping views to the open ocean and unique geologic features. Also, little ones will find the beginnings of a "fairy village" behind the cabin. Many upgrades have been done including a new porch, a loft with a queen bed, a Rinnai heater and 5 outlets on the lower level. Enjoy!

We had enjoyed having him and his yurt on our land so when he left, It left a virtual and metaphorical hole. A couple years later we had an opportunity to purchase a yurt from an outdoor adventure company and so it began. We improved upon our tenant's idea by adding a proper outhouse and outdoor shower area. The space offered us a quiet haven during hectic times and now we are ready to share that opportunity. Our yurt sits on a quiet and private nook on our 7 acre property. We are right in between Kennebunk and Biddeford so there are quite a number of areas to explore if you make us your home base. It is a lovely 6 mile ride to Goose Rocks Beach or you can spend an afternoon walking around Dock's Square in Kennebunkport. Biddeford is a rapidly rebuilding mill town that has made several high profile food and travel publications for its great dining spots. If you are visiting to get away from the city, we are less than a mile away from the Eastern Trail which connects South Portland to Kittery, ME. Bring a bike or plan a quiet walk. The idyllic location for being in nature. The yurt was wonderfully set up. We enjoyed hot tea each night. The property is close to amenities while feeling removed from the hustle and bustle of it all. Despite the cold we enjoyed an outdoor shower. The property is near a trail to take in all the changing leaves. The hosts were so kind and thoughtful and provided spot on recommendations. We are so grateful!

I could not recommend this place enough. The treehouse itself was beautiful, clean, and in a great location. The outside had amazing views and the dock was a huge plus. I think the best part of the trip was how helpful and caring the staff was. I went up for my 1 year anniversary and they made it even more special by creating a keepsake for us to remember the trip, as well as being very kind and communicative. 10/10 experience, I have already suggested the place to multiple family members and friends.

The lake was warm still, clean, the views were beautiful. We were the last campers of the season so we had lots of privacy. The cabin had a fridge for us, a few basics re: utensils, plates , cups, washbin, an extra blanket, and a pull out couch. A fan, space heater, and toaster/coffeemaker. The space heater worked well at night. The bathroom was close and it had a full kitchen sink to wash, stall shower, toilet stall. There are motion sensor lights at night for the scaredy cats. Dumpster on site.

We stayed a week at this charming rustic cabin in the woods with our 16 month old. We loved it as an alternative to tent camping with a toddler! Cacy and Dana were so friendly and had great communication. We loved using it as a base camp to explore the area and spend quality family time together cooking meals over the fire and exploring the woods that lead to the ocean. It’s definitely unique to us to get the best of both worlds with secluded woods and ocean waves. We went to the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens and spend an entire day playing in the children’s garden and exploring the woods finding giant trolls. Definitely a great place to spend the day! The area is filled with great places to eat and explore. We loved visiting The Maine Tasting Center where we got to make up a charcuterie board and a wine/beer flight made up of all local products. We’d love to come back in the summer and explore some of the local swimming holes! Thank you for a much needed reset from our busy lives! Wishing you the best!

This was the first time we’ve stayed in a yurt, didn’t know what to expect. The place was very clean and welcoming. We got there after dark and found it fairly well with the little lanterns and the lights on when we arrived. On the night we were there - we heard a pair of Great-horned owls (according to the bird app) in trees close by- very cool and unexpected. We also woke up to rain sounding on the canvas - making it a very relaxing morning.

When we first purchased our property, we were made aware of a young fella needing a spot to set up his yurt. He lived with us for two years before moving along. We had enjoyed having him and his yurt on our land so when he left, It left a virtual and metaphorical hole. A couple years later we had an opportunity to purchase a yurt from an outdoor adventure company and so it began. We improved upon our tenant's idea by adding a proper outhouse and outdoor shower area. The space offered us a quiet haven during hectic times and now we are ready to share that opportunity. Our yurt sits on a quiet and private nook on our 7 acre property. We are right in between Kennebunk and Biddeford so there are quite a number of areas to explore if you make us your home base. It is a lovely 6 mile ride to Goose Rocks Beach or you can spend an afternoon walking around Dock's Square in Kennebunkport. Biddeford is a rapidly rebuilding mill town that has made several high profile food and travel publications for its great dining spots. If you are visiting to get away from the city, we are less than a mile away from the Eastern Trail which connects South Portland to Kittery, ME. Bring a bike or plan a quiet walk.
