We are located right off of highway 30. If you are coming in off of I15 you will continue on highway 30 passing Lava Hot Springs. You will see the KOA East on your right hand side. After passing the KOA East you will start going up a hill. Continue up the hill for .5 miles. You will see a Lava Campground sign take you first right onto Fish Creek Road and then another immediate right onto Fish creek extension road. This road will bring you down into the campground. Along with a handful of neighbors, within a private property recreational area, we are surrounded by the Caribou-Targhee National Forest, with vehicle access from mid-May through mid-November each year. Pebble Yurt has a 30 ft diameter with a partial loft for a total of 900 ft2 of indoor living space. You will be completely off grid, but with running hot and cold water, solar electricity, and heating and cooling features. We also feature an indoor shower, sink, and composting toilet. Bring your ATV's, mountain bikes, or hiking boots to explore the Pebble Basin. Or take a short drive to Lava Hot Springs for world-class hot pools, water slides, or white water rafting. Fishing in the Portneuf River or Chesterfield Reservoir, exploring the Chesterfield historic town site, or trying out a zipline or go-cart are other local activities. Pebble Yurt was built circa 2010 by a retiring forest service employee to the highest standards. We've used that canvas to create a unique glamping experience for our guests, with the best creature comforts available in a wilderness setting.

We work hard on the farm but we also know how to play hard. Crazy Cow Farm Adventures has a fun hay chopper wagon ball game, peddle cart track (lots of fun for all ages), and farmyard laser tag. The Blue Goose is the old saloon that has been restored and turned into a little store, right here in Samaria just a few blocks from Crazy Cow Farm Adventures. Samaria is located near several reservoirs, where those that love to fish, can go enjoy the water. Yellowstone is just a few hours away, while Downata and Lava Hot Springs are both just a few minutes away. Malad City, Idaho is just a short ten minute drive and you can find the grocery store, pharmacy, hospital, and all the other comforts from home there.

2 nights at Crazy Cow Farm Adventures

The campers are adorable! Shayna has a knack for decorating and for making you feel welcome and "at home". The fridge was equipped with bottled water, oatmeal for breakfast, and the makings for s'mores over the fire. We had a blast riding the pedal cars to the "Blue Goose" penny-candy store. We stayed for 2 nights on our way from Salt Lake City to see Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, and visit natural hot springs throughout Idaho. At the end of our trip, we needed to rest and pack up the camping gear for the flight home. On short notice, Shayna welcomed us, again, for 2 more nights. We were so happy to be there. When we drove in late at night we both exclaimed "we're home"! Everything was clean and cozy. The shower and toilets are a short distance from the campers. It was quiet, even when the goats got out, and so beautiful. We want our family and friends to experience Crazy Cow, and we would love to go back and spend a week to just rest and enjoy the scenery.

I love love love this spot. I decided to do a road trip instead of fly to my destination just so I could stop here and stay overnight. The site at the top where they are building a glamping type dome is just gorgeous. 360 views. Last fall I stayed here with my dog, and I have since lost him to cancer so this trip was a bit of a memorial. I remember him joyfully running around and exploring as the sun set on the mountains. Definitely recommend if your goal is privacy, beauty, and plenty of space.

My son and I have camped in many places but this is now his favorite! Our hosts were exceptional, so kind and fun to talk to. I just adored Shayna’s camp and the love and effort she has put into it is so apparent. Best campsite for kids AND adults! There is so much to do. I fell in love with the animals and miss them already! We will definitely return. Already telling friends and family about this gem of a place! If you want animal fun, beautiful sunsets, stargazing, pedal carting, giant sandbox play, games, comfy campers with a/c or heating, and fascinating history all from the best hosts, this is your spot!

First time staying in an RV Park. I liked the little cabin. It's a little humid inside the cabin in summer but we had a box fan that helped a little. The park has doggy play areas, playground for the kids, chess and basketball. The bathroom was very clean with warm showers. The pool was clean and everything seemed to be taken care of and clean. The little shop has some food and gifts. Everyone we met employees and guests were very nice. The little food truck has some yummy chicken tenders and onion rings. The food truck employees were also very nice.
