Excellent location, safe and not too far from everything. Close to turtle bay beach. Lots of animals and the little one really enjoy. Henry is very friendly and responsive. Very nice private area, with the extended cover and lounge chair outside the rv. Will return for sure.

First of all Henry is an amazing host. Generous and helpful. He cherishes the land and it shows. You really feel that this is a place to reenergize after a long day. It’s secluded enough to be peaceful but close enough to be able to go enjoy the island.

This was good for a one night stop on our trip around the island - nothing too fancy but not too shabby either. Inside the trailer is quite literally just the mattress, but Henry has laid out a nice outdoor area to hang out. Cold water only for the shower and bathroom is two port-a-potties, which is fine when camping. Host was very responsive and maintained privacy.

It was the best choice I made for my short stay in Hawaii, I stayed there for 4 nights. Ben and Henry were very welcoming and friendly! It’s was a beautiful experience living in a farm, natural alarm clock (rooster)! The camper was clean and well ventilated, mattress was comfortable. 3 mins drive to the beach, food trucks and grocery. Had no issues at all and would definitely come back!

I had a great time at this spot. The land is beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. There are a lot of very nice touches like some lights that turn on when it gets dark. The hosts were very welcoming. It is also quite a large amount of land and furniture that is provided at this site. Overall I think this is a great place to stay on the north shore, especially for the low price!

Really nice campsite, with friendly hosts! The hut isn't big - but much nicer than a tent. The outdoor area is very nice, with tarps against the sun and rain, comfy seating, big table - and nice lights during the night. The farm has animals just a short walk away. The location is very calm and private and slept really well.

My family really enjoyed Nohomai’s retreat, the land is beautiful. Our yurt was located near a small river which adds a peaceful atmosphere for sleeping. We also had the kahoo lawe cabin for my parents which was amazing. The porch faces the mountain valley and offers shade in the morning being a perfect place to enjoy a peaceful breakfast before starting your day! I would recommend Malama Aina to anyone who enjoys a true authentic camping experience while on O’ahu! Everyone was very helpful and friendly and instructions were very thorough. This is the perfect oasis to get away from the hustle and bustle of things and we will definitely be back!

You are wonderful hosts. You have put a lot into your hipcamp site and it shines through in how well planned out your spots are. Your landscape trapping and tent covered space outside of the cabin made a huge impact, spending time outside covered in the rain was refreshing. The motion sensor lights to light the way to the outhouse after dark was appreciated. The dimmable lighting inside and out of the mini cabin was really a nice choice for relaxing in the space. Your space has been so comfortable and a reprieve from the dampness of the van with this heavy rain we have had. I truly appreciate your responsiveness and kindness. This is what I traveled such a distance for. Peace in nature.

Weekend Trip to Charming Kahuku camp
No one else stay here; I call dibs! I want to stay here every weekend. Just kidding, stay here, so they can stay open, and I can come here often as possible.
This place was great, the pictures don’t do it justice. The site is private but the host is on site and there are other people working the farm so if there is a need, it’s easy to ask for help. As a single woman, this made me feel safe.
I didn’t need to bring anything but my food, water and toiletries. They had bedding, furniture, firewood, lighting, pop-ups for shade and tarps and carpets staked down for ground covering. They even cut greenery and placed it in vases to welcome me upon my arrival at the site. Host Henry is a cultural ambassador at one of the most prestigious resorts on the island, so if you are visiting, take advantage of his expertise when you meet with him upon arrival.
Haters: this is camping! This is not a hotel or air and b. It’s outside! Dirt lives outside. Leaves live outside. Bugs live outside. Bring wipes to wipe down surfaces if dirt is on surfaces. Settle down when you see piles of leaves. Bring bug spray. Calm down and realize you’re camping. Sheesh.

This is a stunning piece of land, tucked away just up the mountain from the beaches and shops. We enjoyed the fire pit and the care they have taken in setting up the space. All the automatic lights, piles of firewood, and friendly, helpful hosts made this a stay to remember! We will be back!
