Great find! Brand new campsite, paved sites, full hookups and views of the surrounding mountains. Very nice clubhouse and amenities. Pickle ball courts, the list goes on!! My parents are headed there this weekend. Boxcar Grille and Brewery 5 minutes away. Haunted house nearby too!! Will definitely be back. Scooter and bicycle friendly.

I enjoyed a nice, quiet retreat. It rained nearly the whole time I was there so I didn’t make use of the swing bench or the fire pit, but I absolutely would have if it was dryer. Even so, the tiny house was cozy and I was happy to cocoon inside. I would definitely visit again!

One of our goats lost an eye once to a dog, and she's never fully forgiven me. ) We have several housemates, so parking is limited to street parking (one vehicle for you). This creek property was probably used by the Creek and then the Cherokee as a campsite because of the abundant water and wild life. Later is was farm land and in the 1920's had approximately fifty mules working the land. The Old barn and blacksmith shop are still here. In 1977 the government planned to put a four lane toll road through here but was stopped by the oil embargo which caused the right of way to be auctioned. We were able to buy 200 acres for a small amount of money and have been raising cattle and camping on it every since that time. As a Scout Master I have been using this site for camping for the past 15 years. Time to let others enjoy. Kindling and firewood is provided. ten minute walk to the main house for potable water and other needs. 37 acre farm with hills and a wide variety of wildlife and plants to inspect. Camp is in rural area couple hundred yards off county road but secluded. Plenty of deer, turkey, geese, wild ducks, beaver and other wild life in the area. A secondary campsite is provided down the creek with area for tent near creek. Fire pit and firewood is provided.

Our 501(c)(3) Non-Profit campsite has soft opening under way! This means we don't have many frills, but we are by far the closest RV site to central Atlanta, and the only one on MARTA public transit (right outside the gate). We are a rare gem in this city. One of the last areas that have been allowed to return to nature after being farmed until the 1960s. We are surrounded by 100s of acres of parkland, and yet are only 5 minutes drive from almost everything you will need. You will see the hand cut terraces put in by the farm workers and then the forest has spent the last 50 years taking it back. Still lots of old growth trees around though. The county just purchased/swapped 50 more acres to go with the hundreds more under it's watch. There is a 14 mile concrete trail that runs behind the property and all the way out along the south river. Quite the hike or bike if you fancy a good walk. There is a 18 hole golf course, sports fields, public pool and YMCA type community center all along the trail and walking distance from the campsite. We are a 501c3 non-profit church that is still in the early days of it's mission. Your donation to our site helps fund our mission and keeps the lights on. We are massively focussed on permaculture as the only sustainable way of life and rapidly moving towards being totally carbon neutral. You will be up close on our early days and see our Solar Roof Cabin (a total of 300 panels and 70kW output when completed). We make a lot of our infrastructure from windfallen and site development trees that are cut and shaped on our own electric sawmill. Much of the rest of the renovations are done using upcycled and donated materials.
