Walnut Hollow Ranch

Walnut Hollow Ranch sits in the Nantahala Mountain Region of the Great Smoky Mountains.  The 155 acre farm is a horseshoe shaped cove with Wiggin's Top at its crown.  The land consists of 67 acres of cattle pastures, 5 ponds and 3-5 miles of hiking trails.  The forest consists of lowland pines, poplar, dogwood, hickory and walnut trees.  The upland consists of oaks, poplar and other hardwoods.  Wildlife abounds at Walnut Hollow Ranch.  Our residents include:  wild turkeys, white tail deer, red fox, red tail hawks, bluebirds, finches and many others.  Passerby's include:  wood and mallard ducks, blue and white herons, river otters, black bear, bobcat, coyote and migratory birds.The ponds include:  big mouth bass, small mouth bass and brim.

Munson Hill Farm

The farm was purchased 40 years ago by the Miller family. Two families have been raised here it has been a great home. Local Boy Scout Troops have camped here on numerous occasions and always been back for more. Life On The Vine

Valley River Vineyards was established in 1997 by the late Bill and Brenda Stalcup Reece.  The property has been in Brenda's family for over 50 years.  The family owned and operated vineyards produces Old World and Northern Grapes.  Wine is produced and bottled in their winery.  The 32 acer property has a elongated pond with Martins Creek thru the vineyards.  There are picnic areas along with RV hook ups and Tent Camping. A quiet and serene place to enjoy a weekend get away.Learn more about this land:"Camping In The Vines" is 4 miles from the small town of Murphy NC.  Tranquil bright star nights, camp fire, wildlife watching and walking trails from the vineyards to the hill tops.  Wildflowers surround you while enjoying a glass of wine beside the cold running waters of Martins Creek. Primitive camping, RV power hook up, outside bathroom w/ sinks, indoor shower w/ hot-water, picnic tables, fire wood and garbage cans available.  Just a place to sit back and let the world go by for a little while.

Your Toccoa River Cove!

The Cove consists of 12 acres with a tributary stream and spring fed ponds

less than a half mile from  the Toccoa River. It was originally the water source for the surrounding properties prior to the city installing a water system. It is completely private and unspoiled nature, with about a mile of walking trails throughout. The Mountaintop is a 3 acre high elevation site bordering 140 acres of undisturbed woods and is also very close to the Toccoa River. 

Fantastic location yet very private for base camp to access the many activities in this area, or enjoy the Toccoa River. It is the only campground in Fannin County limited to only one group at a time. 

Each site includes 2 access points to the Toccoa River. The Gibbs Drive community river access lot has a charcoal grill, picnic table, boat launch, swimming rock and fire pit with chairs. The Toccoa River Forest community river access lot has a big boat ramp. The river is controlled flow and usually at low water from dawn to about 2 pm, ideal for fishing or swimming/wading/boulder bopping. The River release schedule is available online at

 the website TVA.gov.

 The River has swift current when the dam is opened for release, usually daily.

This property is conveniently located in Mineral Bluff, Georgia 30559, just 4 miles off the 4-lane highway (Highway 515/76) and just a short drive to Blue Ridge, Georgia; Blairsville, Georgia; Murphy, North Carolina, McCaysville, Georgia and Copper Hill, Tennessee. It is a paved road drive all the way to the entrance. It is located just a few miles from the center of downtown Blue Ridge with art galleries, many restaurants, brew pubs, shopping, the Blue Ridge Brewing Company, Mercier Orchard, the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad, and more!

The Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad runs most of the year from Blue Ridge to McCaysville, right along the Toccoa River.

 The campsites are equally close to downtown McCaysville, Ga. /Copper Hill, TN.

You are a short drive from Lake Blue Ridge, the Chattahoochee National Forest, Brasstown Bald and many hiking trails, such as the Aska adventure area, the Appalachian Trail, the Benton McCaye Trail, and trails in the Big Frog wilderness area, Cohutta wilderness area (largest wilderness area east of the Mississippi) the Rich Mountain wilderness area and the Project Chimps hiking trails.  The Ocoee River whitewater center with the Olympic kayak rapids

 and the world class mountain biking trails are less than 20 minutes away. Hiking, biking, fishing, whitewater rafting, kayaking, tubing, boating, swimming, zip lines -- oh my!

You are definitely in the mountains now! shelter is hand crafted from all rough sawn locally sourced wood from the site or from Fannin County forests.

Mountaintops has great views and is so private- it backs up to 140 acres of wilderness yet has easy paved road access. 

Spring fed pond produces 300 gallons of fresh water a minute, 24/7! looking down Long Hollow to the River. Hershey loved this place!

Wanda's World

In 2013 my husband and I retired from Florida to Murphy; We built a small cabin in the woods and began collecting critters.

 We now have 4 Nigerian goats, 4 Great Pyrenees and 1 little rescue mixed puppy.

We are so blessed and wanted to give back.

 Several men from our church along with my husband and I built the "Bunkhouse" to provide inexpensive lodging to those that wanted to enjoy the simple life.

The tiny cabin overlooks a small creek and sits at the tree line.  In the winter you can see the mountains and in the spring and summer one can only see dense woods.  Other than the host home there are no other homes visible.  The cabin is located 5.3 miles from John C. Campbell Folk School and 7.4 miles from Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino & hotel.  We are just 5.6 miles from the Historic Murphy city center. Three rivers converge to form Hiawasse lake outside of Murphy and the Nanatahala Gorge River and lake is close by.
