Down a hidden gravel drive with wetlands on either side you will find a completely fenced in field surrounded by pine, oak, and swamp maple trees. There are two ponds located on the property both stocked with bass, bluegill, and sunfish. The front pond is home to many natural Florida wildlife and is a great location to bird watch. Located a few miles from Brooksville and the Suncoast Parkway, this quiet and peaceful setting is just 5 minutes from the parking area and trailhead for the Suncoast Trail and 10 miles from the famous Weeki Wachee Springs, where you can spend the day at the local park or float down the river with the manatees. Withlacoochee State Park and other natural preserves with trail access and kayaking are only a short distance away, and Dames Cave, Homosassa Springs, and Chasawiska Springs are all within a ~20-minute drive as well. My family had a great weekend here! Easy to find and the host send wonderful, detailed instructions on how/where to find everything. Such a gorgeous property. My kids loved the fishing pond and all the space to run and play. It was so helpful that they had firewood available. Great spot to feel like you’re tucked away in the wilderness with the convenience of still being ten minutes away from Walmart. My one slight complaint if you could call it that, is that there is only one toilet for the whole campground. Typically, I don’t think this would be an issue, however the weather was amazing the weekend my family was here, so it was a full house with just that one toilet which got tricky at times. I am no stranger to using the bathroom “primitively” however with the big open campsites that are wonderful, there are no private areas to do so, which leaves all the tent campers to the one toilet. Overall this was a wonderful place to camp and my family would definitely like to come back in the future!

We love how secluded it is and how quiet it is, it's a perfect place for relaxation. For people with pets this is a perfect place, nice and quiet with nature and lots of room for your pets to run around. Our cats love the sights and sounds of pure nature, for they are used to the sites and sounds of the city.

Weekend Trip to Lucky U Ranch

Rob and Mike were exceptional hosts. Their property is large, quiet, and a great sample of "old Florida." We made a point of checking out all of the camp sites. All were quiet, private, and in a beautiful setting. The ranch animals were abundant, fun, and friendly. We would highly recommend the LuckyUranch... This was by far the best Hipcamp that we have visited..... hands down. Thank you Mike and Rob!!!

Tent camping is great on this farm. I loved the sound of the farm animals and the turkeys are super friendly. Peaceful atmosphere with excellent hosts. Be sure to ask for some goats milk when you visit - you’ll be impressed!

Weekend Trip to The Olive Grove Cabin Tent

Loved the lights in the olive grove. We were the only campers so that made us feel special. The camp kitchen with utensils was very clutch and unexpected. Appreciated the availability of a real toilet. My girlfriend loved it.

Smokey Acres made for a perfect weekend getaway. Easy to find. Large, level mowed field with mature oaks for shade. Plenty of space between the camp sites. Nature trail was pleasant short hike. I would definitely stay here again.

Very relaxing being on the farm. Hosts were great and helpful. They don’t crowd 20 camp sites. Only 4 on the property. Definitely use again.

Weekend Trip to North Shore Relic Ranch

This was our second time at North Shore Relic Ranch, and it’s officially our happy place. There’s something magical about this spot — a mix of country calm, animal chaos, and the kind of hospitality that feels like coming home. James, the host, is the real deal. A solid Army vet, honest as the day is long, and just one of those guys you instantly trust. He takes time to show you around, chat about life, and make sure everything’s perfect — even if Tom the Turkey tries to steal the spotlight (again). Speaking of Tom, that bird is on permanent patrol. We brought him a fresh split cantaloupe, and let me tell you, it was love at first bite. He strutted around like a feathery sheriff making his rounds. And the best part? They’ve got “Butt Nuggets” — yep, farm-fresh chicken eggs with a name that guarantees a smile every breakfast. We fed the animals, watched the sun go down, breathed clean air, and remembered what peace actually feels like. This place is therapy with hooves and feathers. Already planning our third visit — because once you meet Tom and James, you’re basically part of the ranch family.
