I loved the coziness combined with the ruggedness of the Barn. There were plenty of amenities to make the stay very pleasant, including a surprise of coconut water waiting for me in the cabin. Cool secluded spot for camping. Traveled with our 2 dogs for a quick overnight stay. The site had a fire pit and a table with chairs which was nice. I loved tent camping on Arcadios land! The stars were in clear view which was so beautiful and he was so accommodating! It was so peaceful out there and waking up to the rooster crows was so nice! We got to watch hocus pocus on the projector screen while laying out on a blanket by the fire and that alone was such an experience I’ll never forget! This camp ground is also close to the springs which makes the drive super easy and short! Will definitely stay here again! Amazing host!

Weekend Trip to Happy Campers Rescue Ranch

Sandy Stars 2 was a hit once again. We saw tons of shooting stars the first night and loved movie night on the projector screen. We spent our days exploring the coast at Crystal River and paddling down Rainbow River. Both are an easy 15-20 minute drive from the campground. The animals were fun to interact with, neighboring campers were friendly, and host was upbeat and accommodating. Wilbur the pig is a great ambassador to the campground and honestly I would come back just to spend time with him. Overall 10/10 experience, this place is on my all time favorites for Florida camp sites. Thanks again to Arcadio and his family for another wonderful weekend!

Incredible land and setup! We were the first couple to camp under the mini temple wooden structure and it was a very short walk from the bathroom and outside shower (awesome experience, especially with some hot water) but still tucked away in nature. We would wake up to rooster calls and some movement from the cute chickens nearby and it was a very pleasant experience—let alone getting to know the owners, Lynn and David, who were very welcoming and kind. Would love to come back!

I had a wonderful time at the Artists Nature Retreat. This was my second visit, and it was breathtaking, beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. Lynn and David are exceptional hosts. This gem is tucked away in the woods beneath mature trees. The grounds are well-groomed with artistic accents and some circus memorabilia. A bathroom with a small sink is available. There's a good-sized outdoor shower with hot water. You'll also find an outdoor sink for washing dishes. Having electric and water hookups at your campsite is a true bonus. A fire pit, lighting, and a picnic table complete the perfect camping scene. I enjoyed listening to the variety of birds that visit the property during the day and at night. The roosters are a welcoming sound. Their dog is sweet. Squirrels scurry by. I saw beautiful spiderweb art, too. I had a great time. I plan to visit again. The property is down a dirt road but it is safe to travel with caution. What a beautiful place!!!
