The surrounding area has amazing Mountain Views and you can drive to the town of Black Hawk for dinner/Casinos in about 20 minutes (depending on the weather), to Rollinsville in about 20 minutes in the other direction, or to El Dora in about 30 minutes. Given that it takes about 20 minutes to get to any neighboring small town, note that the house location is remote. It is located in a residential neighborhood where most houses are on an acre of land. Because of that, sound travels very easily so while it is usually quiet, you can easily hear dogs barking or music. Guests love that this space is PRIVATE on an entire acre of land without any street noise. Enjoy this beautiful home without worrying about where or when you have to be somewhere. Black Hawk - have your own private space and hot tub & escape some of the madness of staying at the casinos by opting to stay at Little Gem Lodge! Small Towns (Rollinsville, Nederland, Black Hawk, Wondervu, Idaho Springs) - there are lots of cute local restaurants and breweries in each of these towns. Our stay at this Hipcamp site was peaceful, scenic, and exactly what we were hoping for. Ernest was friendly and communicative, and the igloo was clean with plenty of space and privacy. We loved sitting by the mini fireplace and hot tub at night under a sky full of stars. Waking up to birdsong and fresh mountain air was also a great addition. Everything felt thoughtfully cared for and simple in the best way no distractions, just a chance to slow down and reconnect. I’d highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing, off-the-grid getaway.

What a wonderful visit to the sweetest Cabin imaginable. Hartsell is a darling little town with lots to do within a short drive… Hot Springs, a drive-in, movie theater, great restaurants and outdoor activities. The house was exactly as pictured with wood for the fireplace, a well stocked kitchen, a cozy bed, plenty of extra blankets and pillows, and absolutely stunning views. We had an incredible time and would go back in a heartbeat!

My partner and I loved our stay at the tiny house! The sauna setup and giant windows were really the selling points for us. Was also fun to hand-grind coffee to be more present. The aspen leaves changing were an added bonus! There were two other sites on the property, but the folks staying there were friendly, and it was overall still a very peaceful place. 10/10 recommend for a little weekend getaway for two.
