Some of the kid guests like to sleep in the Cabana room in the "pop-up" tent and cots! 2 nights at Treehouse Magic @ Houses High

This Magical Treehouse and land were everything my family needed and more!! We could not have asked for a more pleasant and peaceful retreat! Marni gave us a rundown of the facilities, and we couldn't have imagined a better stay. From the whimsical hand-crafted beauty of the actual treehouse around "Pal", to the amenities (including games/fun, cooking utilities/supplies, Wi-Fi/TV accommodations and plenty of warmth and cozy blankets and pillows, even full working bathroom facilities), down to the quiet starlit nights including a fire pit on the patio to keep warm while star-gazing! My son especially loved visiting and interacting with the extremely affectionate and friendly free roaming animals we got to interact with and became especially fond of, even giving our own little names to each, as they greeted us kindly several times each day. Only complaint was that we couldn't afford a longer stay!.. as each of us were sad to leave and say goodbye to the relaxing and intimate natured feel of the place, and our very welcoming and accommodating hosts. We felt secure even in the peaceful darkness around us knowing the host's dogs were looking out for us into the night. We will definitely be returning next season for a longer stay if welcomed, as Marni/Frank were on call for any questions or needs, we had throughout the stay, and were exceptionally kind to us as well. Thank you for such a pleasant experience to get us "away from it all" and the delight of bringing nature closer! XOX

The treehouse is quaint and cozy and wonderfully set up to enjoy the trees and views. We had a surprise snow and were still warm and cozy using the heater to start the night and the comfortable bed did the rest. And we woke up to the beautiful snow in the trees! The town is historic and Forest walks were great. We loved the candle light

Jessica’s treehouse was very quaint and cozy. It was raining when we got there and in the nighttime it snowed! We kept warm ! Heating up the treehouse and then piled in the blankets. It was a great 68th birthday! The candles were so fun and the chairs comfortable. We strolled around town on a foggy day. Hiking st Caribou ranch was spectacular and golden.

This place is magical! The town is amazing! Oldest mining town in Colorado with a lot of the historic buildings remaining in place. If you want to get away, have a digital detox and beautiful Mountain views, this is the place for you! It’s roughing it, but without roughing it, which is a beautiful thing for those of us that love trees, birds, views, peace, and waking up to open air. No electricity, WiFi, cellular service (at least from AT&T or Verizon), or sanitary sewer, all of which were exactly as described in listing, but candles, lanterns, open air, birds chirping, trees, and views. Roughing it, without roughing it. So much love and comfort went into the treehouse. If you love open doors and letting the wind filter in, the sounds of birds in the morning, and being cozy, and visiting unique Colorado towns, this is the place for you. The hosts are really great too!
