Picturesque 20 acres with views in nearly all directions of multiple mountains and ranges. Most areas of property have stunning views of nothing but mountains and trees as far as the eye can see. Very quiet area in Bear Trap Ranch. Relatively level spot for camping and/or parking an RV available. No hookups available - completely off-grid. Would also recommend only a raised RV and nothing beyond 30 feet long - path from road up to the level area is not paved. We drive it with an RV trailered to our 4Runner or Tacoma that is slightly raised going slowly. Our 2021 EPro 20BHS (about 23 feet long) with the off road package after removing our WDH works well. Our son makes it onto the property and around the campsite just fine with a Nissan Versa FWD. You must take all garbage with you including excrement bags upon completion of your trip. Be bear aware - it is called "Bear Trap Ranch." Bring bear spray, do no leave any food or wrappers anywhere unsealed including in open vehicles. While we have never seen a bear on our property, it's possible that will change at any time. We have heard a coyote pack in the night (far away). Again, we have not seen them on our property, but be aware if you bring pets not to allow them to wander too far. Please check Teller County Colorado website - top right hand corner of their home page usually mentions whether there are current fire restrictions (hipcamp might not publish this but trying to list the website - https://tellercounty.gov/). If there a fire ban for the county, it would also apply at the property. Gas fire pits and gas grills are always ok - just please be careful! Explore nearby fishing/hiking/rock climbing at Eleven Mile Canyon, swimming at Guffey Gorge/Paradise Cove, hiking/exploring Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, and much more hiking/ATVing/and exploring nearby. Near Cripple Creek, Canon City, Guffey. Beautiful 1.5 hour drive from Colorado Springs up the pass through Woodland Park, Divide, Florissant, and through Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument. Verizon signal - at the top of the "driveway hill" once you are on the property there is intermittently a signal enough to get an email, phone call, or text. There is not typically a signal otherwise. ATT I'm told has a nearly full signal most places in the area. Off-grid experience for true relaxation.

I bought this land to move from HoustonLearn more about this land:I widened the gate and moved my mailbox for easier access. Butane fire rings allowed on private property during a fire ban . Camp anywhere on 60 acres. In one direction there are rolling meadow. Another rocky outcropping. Look to the south and you’ll see the BLM land that shares my fence line. If you want access to town you’re there. You choose how you want to feel. In the woods, in the forest, on huge rocks, flat land or turn around and see CR 1 ( 1/4 mile driveway). Forty five minutes west of Colorado Springs, ten miles to Divide for grocers. One half mile to ice, gas, pizza etc. It is first come first serve with the sites. Two that are near trees for large RVs. One up higher works for pull thru trailers. Plenty of room in the pasture. I just got my first negative review referring to it being dry prairie land. Some pictures are from late last summer.. We haven’t had enough rain yet for it to green up. Also it can be windy.

Peaceful Ranch, South Park

The market is right on 285 Highway, which leads to Denver or Buena Vista. The scenic ride is beautiful. South Park hosts many carnivals with food trucks that serve amazing dishes. Fall in love with South Park, known for gold medal fishing and hot springs within 40 minutes away. Sleep in your RV with the soothing sound of silence to recharge and find peace. There are great hiking trails nearby and a quiet country road for biking. The ski resort in Breckenridge is just 25 minutes away. The towns of Alma and Fairplay have a history of gold dredging, with some placer gold operations still active. This land was part of a mining project, and some mine entrances were closed by my husband when we first moved here. Learn more about this land and Fairplay at the Visitor's Welcome Center in Downtown South Park. There are lots of historic places to explore. Please be aware that this campsite is full of trees and set in a park-like setting, and wildlife is active here 24/7. We only rent two spots and are located near several national forests. Campsite #1 comes with electricity and water. Please bring your own extensions and hoses; if needed, we rent them on site. Check extras for fees. Owner lives in RV. Land will never be left alone someone is always here. Drive up the hill or walk up the hill next to RV to find all amenities, Like bathroom and bear trash. If anyone is blocking your way please let the owner know. No unsupervised fires watered down your fires until is wet. No unsupervised kids or pets. No haunting allow in this land

Guests can relax around our small pond or roam freely around our 35-acre property. There is both hiking and fishing at Badger Creek only a short drive away. Waugh Mountain State Trust Land is another hiking option and is also just a short drive up the road (*NOTE: the State of Colorado now requires a valid hunting/fishing license to access state trust lands)! Additionally, we are about 45-90 minutes away from a variety of alternative adventures! Some of these include Salida, Cripple Creek, Eleven Mile Reservoir, Paradise Cove Swimming Hole, Florissant Fossil Beds, Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, Manitou Incline, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Cave of the Winds, Seven Falls, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Royal Gorge Bridge and Park, Royal Gorge Dinosaur Experience, several rafting/zipline and Jeep tour companies, Westcliffe, Bishop Castle and Canon City including Skyline Drive, Tunnel Drive, Royal Gorge Train, Museum of Colorado Prisons and The Winery at Holy Cross Abbey. Any of these can be done as a day trip or visited while on your way here, or home. (*NOTE: some of these attractions are free, some require a fee and some are seasonal. To avoid disappointment, PLEASE do your own research prior to arrival)! Guests need to be self-sustaining to camp here as there are no facilities nearby (gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, etc.)! I bought this land to move from HoustonLearn more about this land:I widened the gate and moved my mailbox for easier access. Butane fire rings allowed on private property during a fire ban . Camp anywhere on 60 acres. In one direction there are rolling meadow. Another rocky outcropping. Look to the south and you’ll see the BLM land that shares my fence line. If you want access to town you’re there. You choose how you want to feel. In the woods, in the forest, on huge rocks, flat land or turn around and see CR 1 ( 1/4 mile driveway). Forty five minutes west of Colorado Springs, ten miles to Divide for grocers. One half mile to ice, gas, pizza etc. It is first come first serve with the sites. Two that are near trees for large RVs. One up higher works for pull thru trailers. Plenty of room in the pasture. I just got my first negative review referring to it being dry prairie land. Some pictures are from late last summer.. We haven’t had enough rain yet for it to green up. Also it can be windy.

Picturesque 20 acres with views in nearly all directions of multiple mountains and ranges. Most areas of property have stunning views of nothing but mountains and trees as far as the eye can see. Very quiet area in Bear Trap Ranch. Relatively level spot for camping and/or parking an RV available. No hookups available - completely off-grid. Would also recommend only a raised RV and nothing beyond 30 feet long - path from road up to the level area is not paved. We drive it with an RV trailered to our 4Runner or Tacoma that is slightly raised going slowly. Our 2021 EPro 20BHS (about 23 feet long) with the off road package after removing our WDH works well. Our son makes it onto the property and around the campsite just fine with a Nissan Versa FWD. You must take all garbage with you including excrement bags upon completion of your trip. Be bear aware - it is called "Bear Trap Ranch." Bring bear spray, do no leave any food or wrappers anywhere unsealed including in open vehicles. While we have never seen a bear on our property, it's possible that will change at any time. We have heard a coyote pack in the night (far away). Again, we have not seen them on our property, but be aware if you bring pets not to allow them to wander too far. Please check Teller County Colorado website - top right hand corner of their home page usually mentions whether there are current fire restrictions (hipcamp might not publish this but trying to list the website - https://tellercounty.gov/). If there a fire ban for the county, it would also apply at the property. Gas fire pits and gas grills are always ok - just please be careful! Explore nearby fishing/hiking/rock climbing at Eleven Mile Canyon, swimming at Guffey Gorge/Paradise Cove, hiking/exploring Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, and much more hiking/ATVing/and exploring nearby. Near Cripple Creek, Canon City, Guffey. Beautiful 1.5 hour drive from Colorado Springs up the pass through Woodland Park, Divide, Florissant, and through Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument. Verizon signal - at the top of the "driveway hill" once you are on the property there is intermittently a signal enough to get an email, phone call, or text. There is not typically a signal otherwise. ATT I'm told has a nearly full signal most places in the area. Off-grid experience for true relaxation.
