Campers can explore the cavern with knowledgeable guides to view formations that resemble animals and figures like candy canes, butterflies, and even a dragon—the cave’s mascot. Additionally, cave explorers may traverse Miners Trail, an ecologically fragile area with convoluted marble monoliths, in a self-guided walking tour. San Luis Reservoir State Recreation Area

Situated about an hour and a half west of Tracy, the park sits around the expansive San Luis Reservoir.
