This is a safe place to get off the road for a bit, or to take a break from the busy/noisy city life, to relax and unwind in nature! Dogs are welcome, but please pick up after your pet! There is also a Round Pen provided for travelers with up to 2 horses with a fill station for water. Feed will be intermittently available to purchase for those in need. This spot was fantastic!! Nice and private on our part and the hosts part. We did not feel like we were intruding on her space and she kept her distance making us feel like it was our own private spot. The views were beautiful. It was nice being in town and close to everything but not feeling like we were in the middle of the city! The animals were a huge bonus. Our boys loved seeing them and hearing them every morning. The communication was fantastic. The rules/expectations were very clear and reasonable. We will definitely keep this in mind for future travels.

We enjoyed our stay in the desert at Cactus Forest. It’s in the middle of the desert, and the afternoons are hot, but when we use our camper as shade, the temps were cool and breezy. We enjoyed walking our dog along the dirt road, and didn’t experience any stickers! The evenings are cool, and there is a big sky above…..A perfect spot to stop for the night😍

I enjoyed my brief stay at Weary Traveler Haven and definitely plan to book again when I need a great place away from the city to star-gaze. Booked this stay to watch the Orionid meteor shower and was not disappointed. The tent platform was the ideal place to lay back and watch the sunset and meteor shower and then sunrise the next morning. I also appreciated the fire pit with its included grill. And it was incredibly nice having a clean and conveniently located restroom within easy walking distance from the camping spot. The location of this hipcamp spot was easy to get to, the instructions were simple to follow, and I was greeted shortly after my arrival with the fresh loaf of sourdough I purchased from the hosts. They were unfortunately out of the jam, but promptly reimbursed me and sincerely apologized. If you can afford to, definitely treat yourself to a loaf. It was delicious. Communication with the hosts was also really easy and their responses back were quick and always friendly. There was a bit of construction going on close to the property which started early in the morning, but it didn't bother me much. Overall, I had an incredible time at this location and plan to book again in the future.

Hundreds of Indian petroglyphs are just 3–4 miles up the offroad trail, easily reachable by any 4x4 vehicle with at least 6–8 inches of ground clearance. Popular 4x4 trails are available for SxS, ATV, UTV, and dirt bikes. There is a large sandy wash for high-speed SxS riding, varying up to the equivalent of six lanes wide.
