The views were lovely and we found the camp to be spotlessly clean. The bathroom was amazing, much nicer than pictured, and also pristine. There was definitely a lot of attention to detail in creating this space.
My husband and I are older and we often have friends who are nervous about camping. This would be a perfect spot for anyone wanting to have a little get away or practice camping, yet feel safe while doing so.

Due to some issues with receiving our new van, we basically lost a day of our trip, so we didn't get to spend the night at Iron Quail as planned. We kept Michael informed and did stop by for a quick look at his ranch and take advantage of his modern outhouse (full bathhouse) which was great. Michael was a great host and showed us around his ranch and taught us about it all. He was very patient and nice to our 7-year-old granddaughter answering all her questions and allowing her to pet the dogs, goats, and chickens. She loved the experience.
Thanks Michael and hope to make it back so we can spend a night in the dark desert!

Beautiful desert property! You can see they put a lot of work into it. We stayed there as a “quick” way to get to kitt peak observatory, which you can see from the campsite!! It is an hour drive up but that’s about as close as you can camp to the observatory!

Michael’s land was beautiful, peaceful, and felt very comfortable and safe for a solo female traveler. The bathroom and shower area was clean and cute and very well done. You can tell Michael and his family put care into everything they do on their property. The stargazing was amazing and the location was great for everything Tucson has to offer. Would recommend!!

The location was unbeatable and the hospitality was fantastic. Michael was super welcoming. The bathroom was maybe cleaner than my own. We ate his eggs our whole trip and they were delicious.

Iron Quail is amazing. I can't say enough nice things. The hosts are super attentive and accessible. The sites are impeccable. The views spectacular, you're surrounded by breathtaking views 360⁰. The sunsets!!!!! The bathhouse is clean. Opt to have a mesquite pancake bfast. You won't be disappointed.
Don't be concerned if you book the Kitt site and the proximity to the goats. They do not make a peep through the night.

My family had a great time at Iron Quail Ranch. We enjoyed the beautiful views, goats, dogs, and chickens. My son really loved fresh goat milk from MooMoo. Mike was very friendly and we learned alot from him. The breakfast is delicious!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will come back. Learning about the goat operation was a highlight along with the great shower and fresh eggs. We had a dog with us which probably caused the guardian dogs to bark more than usual. Noise sensitive people should probably choose the other campsite further from the goat pen. Thank you for creating such a lovely hip camp site.

Our children loved the goats and dogs. Mike was super kind to teach us about his animals and the surrounding attractions and landscape. Our family enjoyed Saguaro NP and the Desert Museum, but the ‘goat camp’ was the best!

Michael was very accommodating, and communication was prompt, almost immediate! The space for my 20’ trailer was prepared perfectly. Fire pit, picnic table and shade structure were better than most state or national parks. This is part of their 15 acre ranch. This is Sonoran desert, so don’t expect grass & trees. Great views of the mountains, and plenty of space to stretch out. Saguaro Cactus national park is right down the road and worth the time to see.

This by far was one of our most enjoyable Hipcamp stays. We loved the wide open spaces, mountains and desert. It was great visiting with Michael and Sabine who are amazing hosts! We learned a lot about the business and sustainability of the ranch along with visiting the goats and chickens. We also enjoyed Michael’s delicious breakfast of mesquite flapjacks, fresh eggs, bacon and goats milk in the open air! Great stepping off place to desert museum and saguaro national park. The bathroom was also a huge bonus as it included a shower. We will be back!

I absolutely loved camping at Lina! Beautiful views, awesome layout. I had breakfast with the hosts on my first morning, and they were very kind and generous. The canopy that Mike built was beautiful, and the bathroom for guests is amazing! I would definitely return! I loved the fresh eggs and garden veggies.

We loved staying here. Truly an AgriTourism spot where we were treated with the goat ranch and chickens. Michael is a great and welcoming host. The facilities are nice with flat and clean sites. They have a nice covered picnic table with a fire pit. The shower house was nice. The dump station was very clean and had access to freshwater. The location is remote, out in the country off a dirt road, but less than 30 minutes to Old Tucson, the Sonoran Desert Museum, and Saguaro National Park West.

We had a great time! The campsite was easily accessible with our 34' camp trailer with a pull through site. The site was extremely clean and the bathroom was super cute, clean, and had a very nice shower. The icing on the top, however, we parking right across from the baby goats and the cutest puppy. Michael was so welcoming and even gave us a tour of his off-the-grid home. The complete property was fenced and made walking our dogs easy. Michael even came over to check on our dogs while we were out and about. A+++ We would HIGHLY recommend!!

Michael and Sabine’s property was so peaceful and very well maintained. Throughly enjoyed our camp site near the goats watching them play with each other. Lots of places to walk our dogs and the sunsets and sunrises couldn’t be beat. The lights on our gazebo were a plus as was the clean and updated bathroom. The best Hipcamp we have stayed at-especially getting farm fresh eggs delivered to our site. Enjoyed learning from Michael the development of their farm and their plans for the future.

We had a great time at Iron Quail Ranch. The site is very private, and has a lovely gazebo and picnic table. There’s a goat enclosure nearby, and there were a ton of baby goats when we were there–very cute to watch over coffee in the morning. At night, the stargazing is very good. I got the added firewood bundle and would recommend it; it was great wood and we got two campfires out of it.
Michael is a great host. The facilities (bathroom, campsite, outdoor kitchen) are all very clean. The provided directions to the property were clear and easy to follow. The campsite is pleasantly close to hikes in Saguaro NP, Tucson Mountain Park, and Ironwood Forest NM. All in all, I would recommend staying here.
