Backwater Paradise
3 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents30 acres · ONBackwater Paradise has possibilities for several camping styles. whether you bring your own, need accommodation, easy tenting or choose to go deep and experience raw wilderness/survival at any season. The property has 2 access points. The first one coming from 557 is to a marsh to the left (east) and several new tent sites that we have starting calling "Left Field". You are literally 'out in left field'. Depending on your vehicle and site you choose, walking in may be your only option. The second entrance is very well marked and leads to the lake (west). This is where RVs are able to access, where the easy tent sites are and where the camper trailer is. All nature watchers and sky gazers will enjoy any space we have here. Moose, bald eagles. wolves, otters, beavers, owls and several species of migratory birds are common visitors. In the lake there is plenty of bass and pike to keep a fisher and kid fishers busy. We promote 'lake 2 plate' principles and if you need anything let us know!! All campers have use of the water front no matter where your site is. On the shore of the lake front is a very large common area and firepit for everyone to access the water. We host fires Friday and Saturday nights weather permitting in this space.. There are several firepit rings to allow campers to have their own site fire. We also have some small row boats available to rent, the latest addition is the paddle boat rental. There is 30 acres of mixed forest, lake and marsh here and now we are able to be open year round.

Fromagerie Kapuskoise Inc.
1 site · RV1 acre · Kapuskasing, ONThe Fromagerie Kapuskoise is a dream that started to take form in 2011. While traveling in Asia, where cheeses were scarce, François Nadeau decided he wanted to pursue cheesemaking so he would never have to go without it. His newfound passion had first brought him to Saint-Hyacinthe (Québec) in 2013 for basic training followed by in-depth training in France in 2014. Upon his return to Canada, the Fromagerie Kapuskoise project became a reality! To this day, our cheese facility proudly specializes in artisan products, meaning a greater attention to detail throughout the cheese making process from the reception of the milk to packaging. At our cheese facility and store, you'll find cheese made using traditional French methods and local whole milks: cow, sheep, and goat. We also produce our canadian classic - curds. We are conveniently located on the Trans-Canada Highway, an ideal spot for a one-night stopover during your travels. In case you ever need it, we are also right next to an RV dealership, Kapuskasing VR!
