Killarney Glen Camping

3 sites · RVs, Tents3 acres · Dardanup, WA
*****FIRE BANS IN PLACE - No camp fires permitted***** ~~~~You must BYO Toilet (No digging permitted)~~~ Our 2.5 acre property in Dardanup West is a beautiful green space of mostly level grass with some lovely large shade trees. We are surrounded by other small holdings with farm animals including chickens (and roosters), sheep, horses and cows. We also have lots of wildlife including Kangaroo's, Ducks, Ibis, Black Cockatoos and many other birds frequenting or passing through. We back onto Gavins Gully which is an idyllic creek running through ex-farm land. The creek is a great place to spend time with your children making boats from sticks and leaves and watching them sail away. Or maybe enjoy a picnic by the creek and just relax in the tranquillity. There's plenty of happy memories to be made! We get lovely sunsets and if you are up early enough, beautiful sunrises. The evenings are always stunning with dappled light coming through the trees! It is magical and our favourite time of the day when everything is cooling down in summer. Enjoy taking an evening walk by the creek and along the bridal trail or just sitting back and enjoying the sounds of nature with some nibbles and drinks. Make sure to look up at night and soak it all in. Listening to the wind rustling in the trees is one of our favourite sounds and the kookaburras calling in the morning and evenings. We also love to watch and listen to all the different bird callings - you may hear a Boobook owl calling to a mate! We are centrally located to loads of attractions! Check out some of them below: • Bunbury and it's coffee strip, bars and beaches only 15 minutes away • Ferguson Valley with all it's Wineries and Breweries only 10 minutes away • Wellington National Park with it's stunning bush, mountain biking, off-roading, swimming and hiking plus the worlds largest dam mural with walkway across the top only 20 minutes away • Wellington Mills, Gnomesville and Wellington Discovery Forest only 20 minutes away • Crooked Brook Conservation Forest picnicking and hiking only 10 minutes away • "The Paddock" sunflower farm in Crooked Brook only 5 minutes away (January only) • Dardanup Bakery and Tavern only 2 minutes away (if you're looking for a great pie or parmi) • Donnybrook and it's Apple Fun Park only 15 minutes away • Boyanup with it's Rail Heritage museum and regular farmers market only 10 minutes away. • Eaton Fair with it's huge range of shopping opportunities only 15 minutes away • Busselton only 40 minutes away (Dunsborough approx. 1 hour) We don't have any toilet facilities onsite so you must bring your own. There is a dumpsite located in Dardanup (5 minutes away) at the information bay by the railway line and little church. We provide running bore water by tap and an outdoor kitchen sink by our back fence where you will be camping (cold water only). The water is safe to drink and wash dishes in. There’s a rustic outdoor shower (cold water only at this stage). It's a work in progress, but ready for your use. We would love to offer our guests hot and cold showers and a composting toilet one day. These are our goals and the money we make from Hipcamp goes towards achieving these and making your stay more comfortable and sustainable. :) Checkout our extras for power and firewood! Please note we live here too so you will see us around. Our kids are free spirited and love coming to say hello! Being ex-farm land, it's generally an open environment, but we don't have neighbours too close by (100m+). We ask that campers don't make lots of noise after sunset and please avoid shining torches towards our home or our neighbours. NOTE: The camp area is in full view of our home, but we try to respect your privacy. Please recommend us to your family and friends and leave us a review at the end of your stay, so we can keep reaching for our goals to make this place even better! We are open to suggestions on how to make your time here even more memorable. We are new to Hipcamp, so please also take it easy on us.

Killarney Farm

2 sites · RVs, Tents140 acres · Roelands, WA
This property has been in the Shine family for many generations. The property has primarily been used for beef cattle farming, although in the early 2000's was shortly used to milk sheep, along with corn cropping. Currently the farm is home to roughly 100 breeders so you might be lucky enough to see a few cute little calves running around.

Busselton Semi Rural Convenienc

22 sites · RVs, Tents5 acres · Busselton, WA
****SUMMER - NO FIRES OR OPEN FLAMES WHATSOEVER!!!! I have a relatively attractive, quiet property with shady, mowed, relatively level paddock and easy access. The Property is located 5 minutes from Geographe Bay (1.5km as the crow flies) and 8 min drive to Busselton CBD and our infamous jetty. Busselton hosts a wonderful array of cafe's, bars and restaurants. Close by are magic beaches, caves and numerous wineries and breweries. Well behaved, non barking dogs permitted. Plse keep restrained unless in the exercise paddock, as a courtesy to other guests. There is a great pooch friendly fenced paddock where they can have a run, chase a ball without fear of running off. Also a smaller run. Plse pick up poo! NO CHECKINS AFTER 6.30PM unless previously arranged at time of booking plse. Guests MUST be fully self contained with their own toilet and shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. No dumping of waste (grey water is fine) on property. NO EXCEPTIONS, sorry. Please top up your WATER PRIOR TO ARRIVING....thank you. NO FIRES OR OPEN FLAMES WHATSOEVER during our summer shire fire restrictions season. Our neighbours value their homes. I welcome you to share my property and ask only that you treat it with respect and be considerate of others. No guests of guests allowed to visit. Apologies...no children due to having a dam. Wishing you safe and happy travels.. Sorry but NO GENERATORS please to reserve peace and quiet for other campers and any surrounding properties. There is no set check in or out time unless there is a site crossover day. I try to keep it as relaxing as possible but plse adhere to before 6.30 or advise time as it is disturbing not just for me but other campers. TIA. Entry is via the SECOND driveway on the right if coming from Busselton side, with green colourbond fence. After coming through gates swing hard left directly into the camping paddock. It is very easy access. Camp sites are designated with vertical tape on the fence and a number. Please park between vertical tapes on site number assigned. Please back into your site and park car across front of van in front, there is plenty of space (not on the side), to give you all plenty of room between vans. If it is holiday season I will allocate a camp site number, so plse ask if not sure. Off season pretty much camp where you like. Happy camping everyone, in my modest but convenient spot.

8 sites · RVs, Tents68 acres · Paynedale, WA
A 68-acre peaceful retreat nestled within State Forest, a short drive from Donnybrook. We are one of only two properties in this small, isolated pocket. We have three sites available for self-contained campers, and one site that offers bathroom facilities. Stay here and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of your surroundings over a glass of wine from one of the local wineries or head out and explore the beautiful Geographe Wine Region. Redgum Hill Nestled in amongst the red gums on an elevated position near the edge of the property, you will be camping next to the old hay shed. The birdlife here is amazing, with red tailed cockatoos and honeyeaters amongst others frequently visiting. Please take care whilst exploring around this area, there are some deep rabbit warrens around the hay shed, which can be hidden in the grass in winter. This site has no facilities, self-contained campers/vans only. Valley Vista Valley Vista is a private and secluded haven, on an elevated spot backed onto state forest looking down over the valley, with arguably the best views of the farm. This site has no facilities, self-contained campers/vans only. Creek Junction Creek Junction is a peaceful area by the creek line nestled in amongst the trees, where the gully running down the hill meets the creek. One of our three dams is hidden in amongst the tea tree bushes nearby. You can see the house from this campsite, but it is far enough away that privacy is not an issue. This site has no facilities, self-contained campers/vans only. Please be aware, all of our dams are seasonal and will be very low in the summer months. We also recommend that you do not swim in them. Shed Pad with bathroom Shed Pad is a powered site (15 amp) situated next to the main shed with bathroom facilities, including a flushing toilet. This site is relatively flat, perfect for a couple of tents or two medium/one large caravan. It overlooks neighbouring paddocks and state forest. Please note, this site has a two-night minimum stay requirement. Base price covers two people.

Coastal Hideaway

2 sites · RVs, Tents5 acres · Herron, WA
Come enjoy our 5-acre Coastal Hideaway nestled along Mandurah estuary, just 30km south of Mandurah CBD. Immerse yourself in a pristine bush setting mere minutes from both the beach and the enchanting Mandurah Estuary. Enjoy crabbing and fishing, and for ocean enthusiasts, indulge in fishing and surfing activities by the nearby coast. The perfect blend of tranquility and adventure. Our property is on a steep hill, our views from our home are too good not to share with you! We currently offer just one camp spot, "The Platform site" that pictures of the view just don't do it justice! Its located right on our back door step, so please be mindful, we love the community environment & love a good chat, so if you are after complete privacy perhaps this isn't the place for you. The Terrain: Please bring a sand mat, as after a long dry summer its very sandy & boggy. Just be mindful with larger vehicles, there is the chance of getting bogged. Friendly dogs welcome: However our property isn't fenced we ask all dogs to remain on leash, kids will also need to be kept a close eye on due to the steep terrain. We have also just started fostering a dog who barks when she sees other dogs, we are doing our best to minimise and control this, and hoping that exposure therapy will slowly help her, we can usually tame her inside. There is also friendly free ranged chickens roaming, we are happy to put them away if your doggos think they may be dinner! There is no cooking facilities on site, also please read up on the fire ban in the area the dates you are looking to come, if fire ban is present no open flames are aloud! Tea, coffee and cacao available on request, you can add on later to your booking if you decide. You can also purchase free range eggs and even rent a paddle board, and some crab scoops. We look forward to hosting you at our property, Ebony & Eurwyn

Camping near Bunbury guide

Overview

Just under two hours’ drive south of Perth, Bunbury may be Western Australia’s third-largest city, but it hasn’t lost that coastal, country-town feel. Probably best known for its farmers market, Bunbury is also the entryway to the forested hills, vineyards, and shores of Western Australia’s southwestern region, with both the Ferguson Valley and the Margaret River region right on its doorstep. Accommodation options are as varied as the landscapes that surround this coastal city, with everything from bush cabins, beach campsites, cosmopolitan caravan parks, and family-friendly ocean-front holiday parks with swimming pools on offer.

Where to go

Bunbury, Australind & Vicinity

Pretty much the definition of the best of both worlds, Bunbury’s caravan parks offer pool-side cabins, campsites, and caravan pitches just a stone’s throw from the beach and the city, while Australind has some tranquil riverside campgrounds and caravan parks. If you prefer your camping to be a little wilder, you can head further north onto the Leschenault Peninsula, where you’ll find a handful of campgrounds sandwiched between the estuary and the ocean.

Busselton & Dunsborough

Follow the sweeping shores of Geographe Bay south and you’ll soon stumble upon Busselton, where you can stop to explore the two-kilometre-long wooden jetty and soak up the holiday vibes or head south still to Dunsborough. Two of Western Australia’s best-loved holiday destinations, both Busselton and Dunsborough offer visitors an array of camping and lodging options, from 5-star retreats on the edge of Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park to campsites with 5-star views.

Ferguson Valley & Wellington National Park

East of Bunbury lies the rolling hills and vineyards of Ferguson Valley and the towering forests of Wellington National Park. Home to the biggest dam mural in the world, as well as some great mountain bike tracks, riverside camping, and plenty of opportunities for swimming and paddling, Wellington National Park is a great spot to switch off and get away from it all.

When to go

With a Mediterranean-style climate—hot, dry summers and cooler, wetter winters—Bunbury is a great time for camping all year round, although you might have to bring warm layers and a rain jacket in the winter. Summer is the most popular time to go camping in Bunbury, but this also means the caravan parks and campsites fill up well in advance. If you don’t mind slightly cooler weather, spring is even better, with great weather, wildflowers, and quieter campgrounds.
