Our property is located in the rocky outcrops of the Bremer Ranges and is on the Bremer River in Rockleigh. The Gums- surrounded by small gum trees right near the Bremer River. The Carob- this site is situated further back from the river and is surrounded by mulberry trees. Lastly we have The Sticks- this site is behind the scrubby bushed and requires tight access and is more suited to tents and swags. The decent into camp is quite narrow and steep so please drive carefully. We are 45 minute drive from the Lavender Federation Trail which is a popular walking track in the region. Hay Valley Farm

6 sites · RVs, Tents13 acres · Hay Valley, SA
The Hay Valley Farm is perched on a ridge that looks west towards Mount Lofty and east towards Murray Bridge. We have stunning views from both sides of the ridge and in particular we get beautiful sunrise and sunset views. We are a working farm with a vineyard, orchard and livestock. Our farm is also situated right in the heart of the Adelaide Hills Wine region so we really do have the best of both worlds; stunning views & peaceful surroundings plus amazing wineries, restaurants, cafes and quaint country towns right at our finger tips. Picture waking up to beautiful views of the Mount Lofty Ranges on one side, a stunning sunrise on the other and native birds singing sweetly all around you. At The Landing you'll be surrounded by big beautiful old gum trees in a peaceful farm setting. You'll see a variety of bird life, kangaroos and maybe even a koala or an echidna if you're lucky. The Landing is also situated right in the heart of the Adelaide Hills Wine region with amazing wineries, restaurants, cafes and quaint country towns right at your finger tips. Lot 100, Howard Vineyard, Murdoch Hill, Artwine, Bird In Hand Winery, Simon Tolley Wines and Barristers Block Wines are only a short drive away. So we really do have the best of both worlds; stunning views, peaceful surroundings and award winning wineries and eateries close by. And after a day of touring the region make sure you're back in time to watch the sun go down because the sunsets are spectacular. So don't forget to pack your comfy camp chair, a bottle of wine or beer, and a cheese platter and get ready to relax and unwind at The Landing at Hay Valley. Please read and note the following: 1) Please note our base price of $30 per night is based on two people per night, even if there is only one guest staying. It is an extra $15 per person per night for any additional adult guests or $10 per child per night. 2) We only book one group at a time at the site so if you book you'll have the whole area to yourself. 3) There are no toilet/shower facilities available so please be self sufficient. If you are staying longer than one night you need to bring your own portable chemical toilet please, as per Hipcamp’s rules. 4) There are sheep and friendly goats living on the site at the moment. The sheep won't bother you but the goats may come and say hello but shouldn't bother you. Please don't feed them as then they will pester you. 5) We do not issue refunds for bad weather. Please make sure you check the weather conditions are suitable for your stay. If the weather is windy across South Australia it will most likely be windy at The Landing, as it’s an open area surrounded by trees. Hope you enjoy your stay :)

Noorla Farm (Happy Camping Ground)

3 sites · RVs, Tents30 acres · Mcharg Creek, SA
We live in a beautiful valley on 30 acres, that not many people know about. We're joined by 4 friendly dogs, 3 horses, 2 alpacas, 4 Galloway cows and chooks, along with the resident wildlife including many birds, kangaroos, koalas, shy owls, and even an echidna! All this, plus beautiful views from atop our hills, right to the lake, and the delightful winter creek complete with frogs. We are close to the McLaren Vale wine region as well as wineries throughout the Hills and 35 minutes to the coast of Victor Harbor. The Greenman Inn is 5 minutes down the road and has wonderful food from Wed to Sun if you do not feel the urge to cook with wood fires for the cold nights or a gorgeous outdoor area for the warmer months. At present, we offer two areas for camping. The Lookout/Highview has spectacular views and is suitable for tents and camper trailers, accessible by low-range 4WD (or AWD if the weather is dry) -this site is currently closed. Topspot which is also suitable for tents camper trailers (need reasonable backing skills and 4WD) and the Laneway which is close to the babbling creek is suitable for those with a caravan, or motorhome, 2WD etc, along with tent campers. (but would struggle with large caravans/motorhomes - please check with hosts) If you have any doubts about which to book, please ask. AUTUMN/WINTER MONTHS: if we receive considerable rain the trek up to the 2 hill sites could become slippery and not accessible as it is a farm paddock, therefore unfortunately your booking may need to be cancelled. NOTE: On our farm there is limited phone coverage in the valley (The Laneway) Topspot and The Lookout/Highview do have coverage. Pets are welcome, however, please ensure they are kept under control (unless discussed with the host) at all times as we have our livestock and are surrounded by neighboring livestock, as well as the wildlife that frequently visits. Please note: This is an active small farm, therefore work may need be continued throughout your stay possibly necessitating the use of machinery and tending to our livestock. If you wish to see some of the animals up close, please let us know and we will try to accommodate. We ask that all fires be contained within the fire pit provided and a portable toilet is available for your use. BUSHFIRE SEASON: Wood and open fires are not permitted in the bushfire season, therefore you will not be able to use the fire pits. We have available farm fresh eggs from our lovely girls $3.00 1/2 Doz $5.00 Doz

Cockatoo Valley Tiny Vacations

7 sites · RVs, Tents23 acres · Sandy Creek, SA
This 20 acre property is dedicated to our horses, dogs and talking birds and relaxing! We have recently moved to 19D Cockatoo Valley so it's just the beginning. Tranquil and relaxing with local wildlife is what we offer you. You are welcome to wander down the hill into the big paddock and get a close up view of the big Solar tracking system that services the property, and continue on and explore the scrub area where many native birds come and go including kookaburras. The line of trees planted in the gully area are dedicated koala forage trees so also wander down there and have a look and see if you can spot one. Our sheep may run up to you if they think you have something for them to eat. Cut apples or carrots into pieces the size of a 5 cent coin for them to eat. There are horses in paddocks toward the dam where wild ducks hang out, and you are also very welcome to say hello to them, but please do not enter their paddocks OR feed them. There are raceways between paddocks to continue your walk up the raceways to see the horses if they are out of view at their gates. Beware of the electric fencing though, it hurts if you touch it! We now have some very friendly chooks and turkeys that LOVE to say hello and be hand fed. Small amount of bread or preferably small chopped up pieces of apple, carrot, grapes and watermelon! In time we will have them in a separate area like a petting zoo where you can come and go and sit quietly and enjoy interacting with them. Adult supervision please and no chasing them. Wait for them to approach you please. A family of magpies will enjoy any meat scraps you leave for them too. Camp anywhere on the right hand side as you drive in via the automatic opening gate which you will be given access to once we have added your mobile number to the system after you have booked. We are currently planting more native shrubs and trees in this area to encourage even more bird life plus provide future windbreaks. From this area you will see the most spectacular sunsets and be able to have an open campfire during winter season. Take a short drive down Goldsfield Rd to the Mining Museum and hiking trails. A few KM's towards Williamstown stop in and see the Whispering Wall, built between 1899 and 1903, for its time of construction the dam was deemed a revolutionary engineering marvel. Sounds and voices, even a whisper can be clearly heard at the other end of the dam more then 100 meters away. Continue on through Williamstown and hire a kayak and explore the Warren Reservoir with the resident pelicans. The Warren reservoir was built on the South Para River between 1914 and 1916. Mt Crawford forest is then another short drive on where you can hike, ride and picnic and be guaranteed to see kangaroos in their natural habitat. We are also ideally located being at the gateway to numerous wineries, take your e-bike and explore the towns in the Barossa Valley which are linked with rose lined bitumen trails, explore the shops, cafes and enjoy delectable food, stop in at the Lavender Farm, treat yourself to a scenic flights with Barossa Helicopters or challenge yourself at Barossa Bowland and fantastic themed Dinosaur mini golf just to name even more options! Less than 10 minute drive from our front gate will have you at the lovely town of Lyndoch where the local IGA is a handy stop for those emergency essentials as well as the local bakery, craft shop, pub, post office, Lord of Lyndoch restaurant, Table Cafe Kies winery for starters. 10 Minures the other direction will see you at a new suburb Springwood which has a variety of shops and a Chemist, couple minutes further will have you at the lovely town of Gawler. The visitor center here is also home to local artists to exhibit their works. As you can see, you have plenty of options to tailor your stay to suit the type of experience you are after. No responsibility taken for any injury or accident to Campers, their property and pets while camping at Tiny Vacations. Pets are welcome but must be under control, dogs on a lead at all times due to stock onsite and neighboring properties. Piney Ridge Estate

7 sites · RVs, Tents90 acres · Woodside, SA
Enjoy the serenity of waking up on our 100-acre farm in the Adelaide Hills. Piney Estate is a beautiful base camp from which to explore the Adelaide Hills, but you'll be just as inclined to relax on the property and enjoy peaceful country time. The location is ideal, being just 5mins from Nairne village (which has a great Foodland, butcher and bottle shop). Plus there are plenty of foodie and wine options to discover in the region. We offer different options, some sites have water and power (and access to the pool) and others are more remote, fully self-sufficient spots. Many sites have a campfire space (not available during the summer fire ban months). Pets are welcome off-leash, so long as they remain under control and do not disturb the farm animals, keep them on leash if you aren't sure how they will behave around sheep and cattle. Also note we have 2 dogs here, and 3 cats, and other guests may have pets, so make sure your dog is dog-friendly, or else keep them leashed at all times.
