Valley View Camping is a 10-acre property, bordered by the magical Eungella National Park. Our place makes a great base to explore the remarkable Finch Hatton Gorge and its many waterfalls, lush flora and volcanic boulders. We have two large, flat, grassed paddocks with sweeping mountain views. We offer up to six campsites, all accessible for any type of vehicle, and you choose where you want to pitch/park on arrival. Both paddocks have easy access to flushing toilets and hot showers. However, the lower paddock has our playground and undercover areas. Your own pets are welcome, we just ask you to please pick up after them. Campfires are permitted only if you have your own firepit, brazier or similar and you bring your own firewood. We welcome campers here to enjoy our stunning and peaceful corner of the world, so no loud music please and generators off between the hours of 10pm - 8am.

You are welcome to help Josie with the daily running of the farm, all you have to do is ask her. We are perfectly situated if you want to explore the Mackay region and what the Pioneer Valley has to offer. Come and watch Platypus and turtles play in the billabong. No fires allowed at all, not even for cooking, except in winter. Fire pits will be provided, in winter, not individual fires allowed. We have fire pits to keep you warm on the cool winter nights as you sit around and share your travel stories. Sit back in tranquility as you watch the platypus, turtles and wild life gather in and around the billabong as the sun sets. It's a great way to finish the day. We also offer indoor accommodation for those who prefer all the mod cons. There are toilets and hot showers for campers, and access to the laundry. We have potable water hookups at most camp sites and we also offer four powered sites. You can use one of the two camp kitchens to cook your meals and use the picnic table for meals. Power is available at one of the camp kitchens to recharge your phones and appliances.

If you're lucky you may even spot a Platypus swimming! You are also welcome to enjoy walking around the property but please speak to your host before approaching any of the animals on the property. You can enjoy all your favourite water sports only 20 minutes away at Eungella Dam. You can also find phone service about 2 kilometres from the property if required. Campfires are permitted pending there are no restrictions in place and we can supply firewood for you. Pets are welcome on leash and please advise the host in advance if your pet will be coming with you.

Ballantyne's Strawberry Farm

Nestled in the foothills of Eungella National Park, in behind Calen (Camerons Pocket), this great campsite offers you the opportunity to go swimming, fishing in the fresh water, put a tube in the creek and relax by a campfire. Oh, and there's berries!​ You will be camping right beside St Helen Creek, just a throwing distance from the Strawberry Farm which is open during the winter months (July- September). There is access to toilets and showers, but you will need to bring your own drinking water. You are welcome to have a small campfire in one of our dedicated firepits, and enjoy the starry skies at night. This campsite offers the perfect experience for the whole family. For an additional fee, you can pick strawberries from July- September. Blueberry picking is from October to January. There is lots of wildlife around from kookaburras to kangaroos. Plenty of places to swim if you wanted it to be more private. The campsite area is 2WD accessible and we can accommodate tents through to caravans, campervans and larger camping vehicles. No pets please.

Our camp-sites all offer a spacious, secluded and natural stay experience. Pure mountain spring water flows down glory creek and is blissfully refreshing in the hotter months. For the health and ice-bath enthusiasts it is intensely-invigorating in the winter months. You have come to the right place if you are seeking a private, secluded nature stay with access to pristine water. Our home's permaculture style gardens have been carefully constructed to circulate the systems elements to achieve efficient energy flows by design, were products from one element feeds the next. We are holistic food lovers and are designing our home to provide us with divine garden to plate experiences. Glory creek winds through the property with many amazing camp sites along its banks. We have several spots available depending on what you are after. All sites require 4WD vehicles for access. *Your site options may vary on the day depending on the availability, group size, creek level and weather conditions. ******4WD VEHICLES ONLY****** Respect the peace and tranquillity appreciated by our guests and do your part to maintain that. No generators or loud music especially after dark. Examples of some of the sites include: Glory Pocket 4WD A tranquil rain-forest pocket surrounded by creek with plenty of grassed area to setup and relax. Access to Glory Pocket is via a creek crossing with 4x4 access only. Fires permitted in designated areas only. The camping area is surrounded by a U shaped creek with shallow wading areas and a chest deep swimming hole. Captains Corner 4WD A large area suitable for bigger groups, has a rocky creek access with little multiple wading pools. There is plenty of room to run around and kick a footy. Access to camping area is via a creek crossing then through the pines. A 4WD vehicle is required to cross the creek. Creek Hoppers Nook 4WD Private campsite tucked in at the end of the line where two gorgeous creeks meet. Shallow rock pools perfect for a creek hop and cooling off. Perfect spot for a quiet private camp stay. Amongst the pines 4WD A large grassy stretch of creek amongst the pine trees. If the time is right, you may be lucky enough to be amongst a flurry of fire-flies. There is access to the creek and plenty of shade amongst the pines. This is a large site and is suitable for larger groups. Fires are permitted in the open but not under the pine tree canopy. Rock Pool Bends Choose a spot to setup along the large creek frontage with multiple wading rock pools. This site has a fire-pit and creek water tap for ease of washing. A drop toilet is shared with the hosts. There are other 2WD spots available **We also will have available frozen organic woodfired sourdough that we bake in Eton, bags of fire wood and seasonal fruit and vegetables. If interested in any of these let us know when you check in. PETS: We are pet lovers and know a family getaway is not the same without the fur babies. This location is not only our home, it’s also the home of our dogs, chickens and countless native animals. If your dog likes to injure or kill any animals, then DO NOT bring them. Leave any 'intact' male dogs at home as we have one and we also have an 'intact' female dog. ONLY BRING SOCIAL AND FRIENDLY DOGS. Ensure your dogs are contained within your campsite and cleaned up after. Please notify us if you are unsure if your dog is ok to bring. Dogs must remain on a leash if venturing from the campsite. *All dog rules must be followed or you will be asked to leave.
