Drive your caravan through the outback to reach Australia's most-photographed landmark.
Mid-way between Darwin and Adelaide, four hours from the outback town of Alice Springs, and surrounded by a vast horizon of red rock desert and craggy mountains, Uluru is both iconic…and incredibly remote for the ultimate Aussie road trip. The epic views and outdoor adventures are worth the drive, whether you're watching the sunrise over the Uluru Kata-Tjuta National Park, riding a camel or hiking the Kings Canyon Rim Walk in Watarrka National Park, or escaping to the wilderness in the Tjoritja West MacDonnell National Park. Camping options are limited in Uluru, but you'll find powered sites suitable for motorhomes, campervans, and caravans at nearby Ayers Rock, with full amenities, a supermarket, and a petrol station on-site. There are also rustic campsites with electric hookups available at the Curtin Springs roadhouse.
