Valley View Farm, Hunter Valley

9 sites · RVs, Tents40 acres · Gungal, NSW
Valley View Farm is located in the beautiful upper Hunter Valley - home of racehorses and wineries. We are spread out over 40 acres, set in a picturesque 600-acre valley, with Mount Dangar dominating the skyline. Our property is set on top of a huge inland sandbank/cliff, with deep gorges on two sides, which gives amazing valley views. Due to these cliffs, our property is not suitable for groups with small children, and older children must be supervised at all times. The valley is service by a dirt Crown road, snaking through private land, this acts as an excellent walking track with minimal traffic, there is also exploring through the native bush up in the mountains. Plenty of wildlife abounds, including kangaroos, wombats, lizards, birdlife, and not too many snakes! The property is accessed via a 6km dirt road, off the Golden Highway, with some corrugations. We do recommend SUV or 4WD however others have accessed it via 2WD successfully. I drive my horse float up there all the time, and provided your caravan or car isn't too low clearance, it should be fine. Any concerns, please discuss with us prior to booking. When we've had heavy rain, this will hinder access for 2WD vehicles until the water drains, which it does quickly. For this reason, please keep an eye on the weather on your arrival day. We currently offer 4 camping sites - 2 in our back paddock which are 4WD accessible only, and 2 in our front paddocks, both with easy access to the flushing toilet and one with exclusive use of a large 9x9m shelter. Please see each listing for further details. We look forward to sharing Valley View Farm with you.

Kamameja Remote Bush Camp

20 sites · RVs, Tents705 acres · Singleton, NSW
Kamameja is 705 acres of mountainous wilderness purchased by Ian and Sue in 1983. We are located in the Upper Hunter region of NSW, near Jerrys Plains in a remote location with approximately 22 km of gravel Commission access road that winds through some stunning mountain ranges. Please note you need to pass through private property and national park to reach our location - shut all gates that you come through, respect national park rules and drive to conditions. We recommend accessing our property by 4wd only as the road is narrow, not regularly maintained and not suitable for large vehicles or caravans. The extensive trail network is available to ride or walk and are included in the camping fees. For the gravity junkies MTB shuttles can be booked as an extra on checkout and the timing of these need to be organised with the owners.
