Pro’s-
Great host. Very quick to respond to messages very flexible and very friendly.
Great location. Within driving distance to lots of great fishing. Very quiet. Beautiful stream on property with small waterfalls and great rock formations.
Firewood. Tons of good free hardwood firewood.
Con’s-
Widow makers- there are several trees near both sites that are in rough shape. I wouldn’t feel comfortable camping here in windy conditions.
Sloped sight- difficult to find flat spots for tents at yurt sight. You also can’t set up camp chairs all the way around the fire pit due to the slope. Tent site is rocks and roots galore. Very hard to find a good spot to pitch at the tent sight.
No bins for trash- this isn’t a big deal for regular camping but if you plan on taking advantage of local fishing you should know that there is no place to dispose of fish waste after cleaning. We had to keep it all in our car and throw it away at home. Made for a smelly ride.
Overall a good spot for the price but those widow makers made me nervous.
We had a great time at Camp Fancy Pants! It was a beautiful spot that was exactly what we needed for the weekend for these city dwellers. The sounds of nature made for a relaxing and restful weekend. Sarah, the host, was quite responsive and helpful. Thanks, Sarah!
Sarah was kind enough to accept my last minute booking request. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at her campsite - the grounds and surrounding area are very peaceful and beautiful. Just what I needed to recharge my battery.
Very peaceful and beautiful ,perfect begining to our trip . Highly recommend this is exactly what our lil family needed . Sarah is very kind and helpful .We would camp here anytime the trails n running brooks are gorgeous . Thankyou for the wonderful peace and serenity.☺
Sarah the host was very accomodating and they had a really kool Yurt which was offered to us to use at no cost...we even had a suppply of firewood at our disposal.
