If the fire ban is on you're welcome to use the self-contained outdoor pellet stove. Pellets on hand. However we haven't had a fire ban in Lake County yet this summer. Some areas may be wheelchair accessible although still dirt. Welcome to park in the loop driveway to make this more accessible. Nothing is paved. I have been making trails, hand digging sage, for more equitable accessibility. Porta potty on site. This is an open area; sagebrush, no trees, beautiful mountain views. There can be very strong winds at times. Gorgeous views of Quail Mtn and Mt Elbert. There are no structures or "improvements" to the camping area, aside from the porta-potty and fire rings. I'm in the process of building my homestead contained in a fenced in area separate from the camping area. I run inverter (quieter than conventional) generators for power and you're welcome to bring your own generator or solar power. The lakes (Twin Lakes) are just a couple of miles away, however you cannot see them from the property. It's currently July 6 2022 and we are in monsoon season. Sometimes I won't be here and we may need to communicate via phone or text. Along w detailed directions to the property.

Wow! What a fantastic stay- Angie gave us extremely clear directions that were super easy to follow, and greeted us right at the entrance. She was super helpful and welcoming, and the site was absolutely fantastic. Beautiful views of the surrounding peaks with wide open space to spread out on. The sunrise over the eastern peaks was so beautiful. We’ll definitely be back and recommend it to anyone looking to be near twin lakes!
