The Blue Spruce

We live on five beautiful acres just outside The Black Forest and directly across from The Air Force Academy with a beautiful view of the Chapel. We are within walking distance of Fox Run Park. Visitors will find a restful environment among the thick forest of ponderosa pines. Trail users will enjoy four miles of multi-use trails that wind through the Fallen Timbers area, pavilions, playgrounds and Gazebo on the lake. There are many attractions nearby. The Garden of the Gods is a must! You can hike, picnic or horseback ride through this beautiful park to gain the perspective that appeals to you the most! Visit the castle of Glen Eyrie, Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs for unique shopping, and The Pikes Peak Cog Railway which is seasonal depending on weather. The 5 star Broadmoor Resort is just south as well as Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Helen Hunt Falls and Seven Falls. Further south is Canon City, home of the great Royal Gorge Park with its gigantic suspension bridge, the highest in the world at 1000 feet. There are many rafting companies that run the rapids down the Arkansas River which cuts thru the canyon. We can provide numbers of the outfitters that we use and trust.
