Urban camping on the water
We were happy with this spot and it had everything we hoped for... privacy, water access and some room to ride ATVs. It was easy to find and easy to pull a large camper to the sites (road was recently graded). The host left us to ourselves after greeting us on the way in. The perks include the picnic table/bench, fishing pole & gear, water hookup, garbage, and site being 20 min from Salida. There’s a nice fire pit but we couldn’t use it due to the fire ban. While the site is close to a neighboring property, we didn’t see or hear anyone aside from some fishermen on the water. Great site for a no-frills camping getaway.
Awesome river spot.
This is an excellent spot to get away. Good access to the river. We were the only ones there so it was super private.
The host welcomed us, told us how to get a hold of her if we needed something and then just let us enjoy our time.
Fun spot for fishing and relaxing.
Tara was a fantastic host. Her property is nice a quiet with access to some great fishing. Our group had a truck bed camper and a sprinter van and we had plenty of room to spread out and relax. Highly recommended!
Beautiful and private site on the r
We really enjoyed our stay on Tara's land. A+ for privacy and our site was right on the river. Waking up in the canyon hearing the river outside the window was the best part. One thing to keep in mind if you need water: The water comes from a hose and I had to ask where that was at. But the host was super responsive to all my questions and happy to help us get the water. Another reviewer said it's a "no frills campsite". I think that describes it well. We weren't looking for amenities, just privacy and seclusion in a beautiful setting and it definitely delivered on that!
