Less than 30 miles from Cripple Creek gold rush town from the past and present. Only 15 miles from the Royal Gorge Bridge, helicopter rides and zip line events.Easy access with privacy. Stock Get Away

Wayne and his family’s land were wonderful for a weekend stay! So much land to explore, and big empty fields for our pup to run around in. Wayne greeted us upon arrival and showed us around, shared some of his family’s history and gave great recommendations on how to spend our time there. We saw a couple of dirt bikers during our stay, but had a massive space to ourselves outside of those few minutes. Well maintained space, easy to find, great host - will be visiting again!

Secluded canyon oasis

My wife and I really enjoyed camping at the Stock Get Away. We found a wonderful place tucked in the canyon that was secluded and nicely shaded. Wayne is super easy to communicate with and was very accommodating. Directions were spot on.

Stock Get Away

At This Time Not Safe

Quiet location but never met by host. No marked locations for setting up camp along the creek. Had to reach out to host for site set up and safety during a flash flood alert for the area. When leaving the next day the crossing over the creek had not been maintained by the host, over a period of time and one side of our trailer fell into a void which we had to winch out. The host needs to make sure the hipcampers are safe while using the property.

Stock Get Away

Wayne and Kamron were very accommodating and responsive for finding the location and getting settled. Super convenient access to Shelf Road recreation and a safe place to park during the day. They are working on some improvements to the area (so you may notice some noise), but I’m sure it’ll will only make this a better place to stay in the future—I wouldn’t hesitate to camp again. Thanks again!
