The drive up to the top campsite was easier to get to than we had thought based on the directions/description. Windy but always a great view for the stars. Would like to have known about the terrain because there were cacti everywhere but that’s the only negative. The host was very helpful and responsive to messages. Great place!
Great site! Like others mentioned it was not super easy to get a camper in, but we made due. We brought our popup and found a spot at the lower campground, we decided against the one at the top because we had more tree coverage at the lower one. In hind site getting a camper into the top site would have been loads easier. Lots of dead branches and wood around to use for a fire, but we found out when we got there about the fire ban, its been pretty dry in that area. Also bring closed toe shoes, there are lots of cacti. We saw lots of fresh deer tracks and had one walk within 100 yards of our site, she took a look at us, then walked away.
