Super cute place and lots of fun for our kids! Close to Nederland with plenty to do and great hikes around you.
What a fun place to stay! Treehouse was perfect for our family of four, bonus with the trampoline for the kids to enjoy. Host was very nice and accommodating. Also a perk to hike on their land a bit. We’d come back again!
The treehouse was cozy and fun in a little wooded site with a fire pit, picnic table, and a trampoline. You are definitely camping at someone's home; there was a lot of activity and vehicles around. The camp dog is a sweetie who will gladly clean up your dropped food and she will keep you safe from critters at night. A Porto potty and potable water is provided.
There are no activities at the site, but it's a quick drive to Nederland and nearby outdoor activities.
The treehouse was an adventure to thrill our teenagers. It’s small, as a treehouse should be, but we fit fine. There’s a spot for a tent as well, a trampoline and picnic table. It’s all in the woods and will definitely be a memory for years to come.
We had a great experience at our first treehouse experience! We saw a momma and baby mouse on our way up the hill to the camp…it was a wow!!!!
This was a terrific, very peaceful spot! We had a great time here with two kids. There is a lot to explore right by the site, and lots to do in and around Ned. Amy was a wonderful host with lots of good ideas for what might be fun for our kids.
The treehouse is fantastic, rustic, and a great respite from a tent(!). It would sleep up to four, but would be better if one or two of those are kids. The trampoline was a ton of fun. There is a teepee, also offered on HipCamp, just a few meters away (but still feeling somewhat isolated). Would be fun to reserve them both and travel with another family next time. The “babbling brook” was such great white noise at night (very early July), but we gather it will be mostly/all dried up by August.
Caribou Ranch is 5 minutes away— but closed until July 1 annually. So beautiful. Ned is also very close (8-10 minutes). The Knotted Root brewery had live music the weekend we were there. Crosscut, a pizza spot, is well-worth a visit.
Keep an eye out for Nuka, Kim’s husky(?). She is so sweet; our kids— who are a little dog-shy— loved her. We had a wonderful time and will definitely aim to be back!!
We had a great time! Wish it hadn’t rained the whole time, but Amy was lovely offering extra blankets and help with anything we needed! Will definitely go back!!
The treehouse by the bubbling stream was so much fun. There was even a picnic table, fire pit (with extra wood) and a trampoline!
Our host, Amy, was very accommodating and gave us a cooler, camp stove, and chairs to use because we didn’t bring ours.
The treehouse had electricity, and there was a very clean porta potty close by.
Nederland is a cool mountain town. The treehouse was close to town but not too close.
I would definitely come back and stay there again - maybe in the teepee or on the tent site next time.
