Pitch a tent and enjoy the beautiful views! This is the smallest and most secluded camp spot, on the back of the 10-acre property. This beautiful spot overlooks the valley and you can enjoy watching the sunrise. It is not suitable for a camper or pop up. A quick 7 minute drive to Cripple Creek where many tourist attractions await- mining tours, gold panning, gambling, restaurants, railroad tours and more; 10-15 min from several popular hikes, Mueller State and Dome Rock parks; 40 minutes from the Fossil Beds in Florissant and Wolf Sanctuary. Water can be hauled from a natural spring 2.5 miles away. Area wildlife includes bear, deer, elk, mountain lions and big horn sheep. Sorry, no campers/trailers or RVs. Expect to go down a steep graded hill that's inaccessible by car during snow season. Site is pot/420 friendly. Need more space? Check out Sweet Ass Meadow, our other site.

My wife and I made a spontaneous decision to drive to the mountains to camp for some R&R. Needless to say, despite the short trip we were not disappointed. The views driving up the mountain to the site is absolutely breath taking. The site itself was a nice quaint spot overlooking a valley and came equipped with a fire pit, propane grill, table and chairs, as well as a toilet you can use and carry your waste out as you leave. The only complaint I have is that my wife and I didn't have enough time so we will be back! Thank you to the host for sharing your spot!
Beautiful campsite with lovely views! We had a great weekend at this very pretty, private campsite. Erica was easy to communicate with and very responsive. This campsite is private but we did hear some shooting in the general area (maybe a range or private enthusiasts nearby?). If that might bother you I wouldn't recommend but other than that 10 out of 10 for a lovely getaway.
Beautiful, private spot
Beautiful spot! Great views, totally private, with a few flat spots for tents and trees nicely spaced for hammocks. I also really appreciated the fire pit, propane grill, tables and chairs. It made camping super easy.
Lovely get away!
Stunning views and a beautiful camp site! My fiancé and I were traveling with our dog and this site had everything we were wanting. It was quite, great views, beautiful stars at night, and the perfect space to set up our tent and sit around a fire. Make sure to follow fire safety guidelines in the county and bring plenty of water as you are on our own when it comes to resources. I recommend and extra tarp for rain, storms are pretty common in the area and we had a decent storm our first night. But if you plan ahead this site is absolutely perfect! We’d love to stay again next time we’re in the area!
The reviews are true and correct. Beautiful and clean site. Easy to get to just outside Cripple Creek. Loved the views and a few spots to set up your tent within beautiful and healthy aspens. We normally are dispersed campers but this year have been trying out some Hipcamp sites and we would definitely come back again.
