3 posts are available for a triangular sunshade /  up to 3 hammocks.

Large picnic table/ benches.

Wifi available all day outside the nearby library ( 1/2 mile at the end of my road )... take a chair; shady. Power outlet further down their building.

A convenient location if you are traveling HWY's 50/ 96 east or west, HWY 71 north or south which is at the end of my street.

This semi-rural location is great for accessing the 2 lakes ( 5 miles away ), fishing holes, bird-watching, canals etc without being in the crowds..... shade to get out of the heat and away from the sun...... quiet, secluded but easy 3 minutes into downtown Ordway  (supermarket, cafes, pharmacy, parks and playground, gas station, bank ).

Suncream AND bug cream essential packing; mosquitoes are out.

Dogs must be leashed at all times... no exceptions.

We now offer a camp toilet on site as well! (Luggable Loo)

I only get on emails 6-8 AM so if that window is missed, I will catch it next morning.

The stand-out gem of this stay is the host, Gillian. Only stopped for a quick overnight but got the sense that you could spend hours learning from her. She was very hospitable and kind. Safe, spacious, private site with table, camp toilet, and water jug. Nice fire set up (for when there are no fire bans) It was perfect for 1 night in the SUV with the pup and convenient to get back on the highway in the AM. Woke up to pheasants and bunnies outside.

as described, "it's a working farm" ... sights, smells, sounds, but not to an extreme ...

Gillian is very congenial ... we had a nice chat.

I'll definitely stop there again.

Very nice quiet spot with a great hostess. Gillian was very accommodating and made sure we had anything we needed.

Our kids had a great time and the space is flexible enough for however you’d like to set up for your needs.

Any complaints can’t be faulted to the site or Gillian: mosquitos and heat. Welcome to the high plains!

I had a one night visit as I was breaking up the usual 15 hour drive that I make to Taos. Gillian was very nice and accomodating, even though the weather was cold.

I definitely will stay there again.

Returned for a 2nd visit. Great location for us as we played in Lake Meredith and visited Bent's Fort.

Southeast Colorado is very different from much of the rest of the state in intriguing ways. Gillian offers a safe, shaded and quiet (except for birds!) place to camp that is close to town and public wifi at the Library. It's bare bones camping, as advertised, and a good value that met our needs.

What a delightful one night stay we had at Gillian's working farm. Gillian is very creative. We took the tour and enjoyed learning about all the animals and also her gardening methods. All of our camping needs were met and Gillian was a wonderful host. Our granddaughter wanted to stay longer.
