Perfect spot to spend a long weekend and the views did not disappoint.

The Area:
- Right outside of Paonia with bakeries, breweries, and plenty of food options nearby (definitely want to come back in summer when the farmers markets are in full force); also a cool local art scene
- 1.5 hours from Powderhorn Mountain if you’re looking to get some turns in (only two lifts but lots of solid, long runs and mesa views)
- Not the best Verizon cell service in the area (3G) in case that’s important to you

The Hipcamp:
- Several other sites on the land but all of them are far enough away where it feels secluded
- There’s a wood burning stove in the bus to keep you warm on winter nights and plenty of blankets
- Laurie and Scott were fantastic hosts and super easy to communicate with if we had any questions. They also provided lots of helpful information (a guide of the local area, instructions for using the wood burning stove, etc)
- Plenty of animals around (goats, chickens, cats, and the friendliest border collie that will greet you when you arrive)

I stayed here with my partner as a stop on our Colorado road trip, and we loved it! The interior of the bus is cute, but not very fancy. Read the amenities - you get the necessities but not much more (which is exactly what we wanted). The porta-potties were the cleanest I have ever experienced! I also had never experienced an outdoor shower with a view before! If you're bougie, this might not be for you, but if you're someone who appreciates camping or minimal living, you will enjoy and appreciate this glamping experience!

Be aware if you come in the summer it is very hot in there - the owners left us a chilled spritzer bottle, which was actually a lot more effective than we expected :-) ...and lastly, I can't forget the animals. We got to meet 2 pups, one cat, and a whole family of goats - definitely the highlight of our stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Sage View Ranch! Not only were Scott and Laurie great hosts, but the ranch is such a great place to relax and feel “off the grid.” The bus is a fun nights stay and much comfort than tent sleeping, that’s for sure! We even got to meet some brand new baby goats that had just been born the night before we arrived. Definitely Recommend this place. We had a great time and wish we stayed longer!

Wow!! This site had everything we could’ve wanted. The bus was so homey, and the wood stove made for a perfectly cozy evening. The bus’s emergency exit opens to reveal the most stunning view of the mountains during the day, and a perfect stargazing roost at night! My only regret is not staying longer.

We stayed at Bus with a View and it was a one-of-a-kind experience. The unit was clean, comfortable, and a fun alternative to our standard away from home experience. The hosts are SO generous, welcoming, and inclusive people! Beautify property that has room for everyone to be very comfortable and entertained. We will be back!
