We loved our stay! Allan was very hospitable and even asked us if we needed anything from town when they were going. We had plenty of space and the smell of sage was wonderful! I would definitely recommend staying!!!
Allan was an excellent host with several key amenities not often found at camp sites in area. Quiet field with plenty of room, excellent views and STARS that I’ve never seen before in my life. We were even treated to a hot air balloon sighting over coffee.
What can I say... Awesome! Granted we were a bit nervous driving into the middle of nowhere but a quick call and all was remedied. Allan and company are gracious hosts, even had a hot shower (Nemo bag) waiting for my boys who needed showers! A rustic site but the smell of Sage upon any movement is a cure for the road weary and city beaten soul.
Allan was an amazing host! He was so sweet and helpful, he gave us several recommendations on things to do for our trip and we listened to his advice! Our tent also flipped over during the day and he and his wife set it back up for us. Their land is beautiful and definitely great to wake up. to in the morning. It's a little out of the way of Breckenridge but it was worth the drive and the cost versus staying in the city.
This was a very peaceful and beautiful place to stay! The hosts Allan and Lacy are friendly and amazing people with two adorable dogs! From the heated showers to the open space, it was a great stay. Our last night there we were gone for the day and were planning to be back just barely before sundown.. there was a crazy windstorm that day in the area so Allan moved his truck over to block our tent and other items from the wind! Such a lifesaver!! They even went out and got us ice when we were desperately low. They're the sweetest and best hosts ever! Lastly, just wanted to say thanks again for the tasty fresh eggs. We hope nothing but the best for you both and for your future endeavors!
Allan is really a great host. I have enjoyed my stay in Allan’s place. I would never forget the great Meadows and wonderful colors of the sky from Allan’s place. Most of all, I will not forget the cordial hospitality I got from Allan’s family!

Fantastic stay at Sage Ranch. Allan and Lacey are welcoming and friendly hosts. The scenery was spectacular and the smell of sage abounds. My husband, daughter and I stayed for 3 days and would have enjoyed a longer stay. Biking up there is just spectacular. Great to have a nice shower hut and toilet. And can’t beat fresh eggs in the morning. Allan was so helpful in getting us oriented and answering questions. Make sure to get out at night and enjoy the stars.
I had the best time at Sage Ranch, Allan and Lacy are great and very welcoming! I’m so glad that I could be their first HipCamper! Location is awesome, sage fills the air while you cook breakfast with the sunrise or stargaze for miles while listing to the coyotes howl. Oh! And the sunsets are incredible! Orange, pink, and purple clouds hover above the mountain ranges. Located only 45 minutes from Buena Vista, makes it a great place to hangout in between hitting a 14er or white water rafting. They have an adorable little bath house for you to use, which was so clutch after a long day of hiking. I truly enjoyed my time here- 10/10 would recommend! I happened to be staying during the 4th of July weekend and they extended an invite for me to join their celebration. I mean Lacy, even gave me a banana for my leg cramp! Awesome couple with a nice property- Super chill and beautiful spot to pitch a tent!
