Spacious private wooded paradise
If you’re seeking quiet seclusion with modern convenience, look no further. This spot offers a huge space that is separated from the rest of the property which is set amongst towering ponderosa pines and has direct access to Greenhorn creek less than 10 paces from camp. You will also have full hookups and high quality internet across the property, great for those working remotely.
The host family is attentive, friendly, energetic and kind. They can provide great recommendations for activities of all sorts in the area, food recommendations, and provided great company for us when our paths crossed. The weeds were whacked, and we were able to borrow some yard tools to keep us busy outdoors.
You’ll see stunning mountain views featuring endless deer that appear 10 feet away from you at all hours of the day. You’ll also be treated to a wide variety of birds and potential visits from brown bears and grey foxes. There are high class hiking trails very close to camp and plenty of space for riding bikes, neighborhood walks, and scenic drives.
We arrived ahead of schedule, stayed through our reservation, and extended beyond. Each change was easy to make, and we still don’t want to leave. This place is truly a gem, we cannot wait to come back.
Fast wifi in the woods!
I couldn’t believe that I found such a secret and private space, that had full hookups and WiFi that hit >50bmps down and >20mbps up - I was able to do video calls all day and hang outside. Nigel is awesome and really friendly and interesting. Has a background in tech and we talked about startups and construction of Camping properties. Would love to go back!
Nigel was an awesome host and super helpful for us first timers. His little lot was great and felt really private, we would definitely go back.
Absolutely amazing camp!!!
Nigel's camp sites at Rye Beach were absolutely amazing. He has done an amazing job putting it together. It was relaxing and beautiful...And close to incredible nature. Could not recommend it more!!! Thanks Nigel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The location was incredible, it was so peaceful and beautiful. Nigel went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. Overall, we had an absolutely amazing stay here and we highly recommend the spot!!

We enjoyed hosting your family and we hope to see ya'll back soon.
We enjoyed our stay at this newly opened site. Nigel was an excellent and hospitable host, willing to go above and beyond. Full hookups for RVs was great. Excellent location- away from everything but within driving distance to a lot. We will be back to see the upgrades to the site! Thanks for a peaceful and memorable stay!
We made big plans for the fourth but the hipcamp trip got cancelled the night before our departure due to Covid reasons. We were initially nervous about staying with a new host at a site without reviews. But Wow! We couldn’t have had a better time. Nigel and his family were incredibly gracious. He was responsive via call/text from before we arrived to the moment we left on Sunday. The site itself is spacious and private. Nigel shared that over time they plan to clear some of the brush obstructing the mountain views. We were just a short drive from San Isabel Forest and found trails to hike and even enjoyed a day by the gorgeous Isabel Lake. We would recommend the site to anyone with family or friends (we had our toddler with us) looking to just kick back and relax with a great deal of safety. Each day we saw deer moving through the property and yet being close to wooded lots with houses made us feel an extra degree of safety. Even with a bit of rain one night, our trip was peaceful and relaxing - falling asleep to the rushing creek didn’t hurt either! Thanks, Nigel
