Either way this site is named for my favorite blue bird. Part of the site is surrounded by ponderosa and lodge pole evergreens to provide shade during the day with a peak at the stars at night. There is a picnic table for serving and eating dinner, plus breakfast and lunch of course. A wood fire pit is provided with plenty of nearby wood to scrounge for a fire to warm the chilly evenings. Nearby is a trail that leads down to a bridge across the creek. There is plenty of room for tents, and smaller Rv's, smaller campers. Want to get together with the extended family? This is a nice, favorite camping spot for a number of people. Or you can leave everyone else in town and enjoy the peace and quiet. Either way there is plenty of room for parking and most important a porta pottie nearby.

If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We would absolutely recommend Stellar Jay at Rustic Creek Ranch! Debbie’s property is beautiful. She is a fantastic host and checked in with us a few times to make sure all was well (especially nice after an epic thunder storm one night). The llamas, alpacas, and pony on the property were an added bonus. We’ll be back!
Beautiful group site near denver
Debbie was a fantastic host, she stopped by at least once a day and made us feel welcome. The sites are nicely spaced so that our group felt secluded and comfortable. The portable toilet was clean. Stellar Jay is a great site with views of the surrounding ridges, situated in a beautiful Aspen grove and will walking trails through the woods between sites. We hiked to the northern side of the property and connected up with the Colorado Trail for a great day hike.
Beautiful spot to camp!
Our group of 7 friends really enjoyed our stay here over Memorial Day weekend. Debbie was an awesome host and her property is absolutely beautiful, we feel lucky to have gotten to enjoy it. The site was spacious the sites are well spaced apart. We enjoyed meeting Debbie and her awesome dogs, plus it was fun seeing the alpacas and llamas. Our group looks forward to returning!
