The property is about 2 hours from Denver and only an hour from Colorado Springs . 952 Guipago Trail Hartsel CO 80449 is the address you will put into Google Maps to get you to the property. There is a slight slope to our 5 acre grassland property although the campsite is fairly level for Rv's, Pop-ups or tents. The site offers ample room for parking, a stone propane firepit and propane grill (propane not included) a small deck, and large picnic table with two benches and an umbrella. We just set up a tipi that is available with a propane firepit and chairs inside. There is also a privacy tent and Luggage Loo toilet available for use. The privacy tent and toilet are located in the tipi along with heavy duty tent stakes, a hammer, waste bags and assembly instructions. Easy to set up, if you can set up a tent, you will have no issues. Place in an appropriate area for use (maybe behind the shed). Please remember to pack out any accumulated waste, clean receptacle and place contents in their original packaging back inside of the tipi as it was before use.. Feel free to run your generator without disturbing anyone. Great cellphone service there as well, with Verizon anyways.. We usually bring a pop up canopy for extra shade or just use the awning from the RV. The wind comes and goes here frequently and the weather can be unpredictable so make sure your staking down your stuff and dressing accordingly. The property is close to Terryall, Antero, Spinney and other reservoirs if you like to fish. Pike National Forest is about 15 miles from the property where you can hike, mountain bike or ATV. There is plenty of space to park all of your toys while you camp as well. Please keep all pets close and on a leash so as not to disturb nearby neighbors. We have coyotes, porcupine and even bear I hear so watch your pets closely. We are about 10 minutes from Hartsel or 25 minutes from Fairplay, should you need any supplies or just need a dump station for the RV. I recommend the Western Inn Motel and RV Park for your dumping needs. We stop here before going to the property to fill up our water tank and before going back home to empty the tanks. It's cheap and quick, bring cash as that is all they accept for these services. About $10 to empty tanks. The area here is big and wide open with beautiful views. You can see every star in the sky from there. A truly great place to get away for a few days!

Was great, but pull im your awning due to high winds! Our battery died while we were out there, but we were able to walk to another property and get some assistance. Super friendly peeps around. Gary jumped us and told us where to get a new battery. There was a little broken glass left around on the ground from the previous campers, but no crazy incidents or anything like that. Our dog enjoyed dining on the multiple locusts/grasshoppers It was so quiet that the quiet was loud. I hope that make sense… loved it!

Loved this place and even stayed an extra night! This was my office for the week… not a total vacation. :) Beautiful and peaceful. Was able to work from here and take video meetings on zoom. The signal was far better than anticipated. This will be one of my new go-to outdoor office spots on the weekdays. Great response time from host as well!

Saw a couple of deer on the property and had one amazing sunset and a gorgeous night sky. Will definitely return. Thank you for having us!

One more rainbow shot - we loved this place!Rainbow!!!Another sunset shot Our setup

Guipago Trail exceeded my expectations!! Even with it pouring rain we made the best of our stay and we’re able to set up camp and stay dry. Loved the table, little deck and propane fire!! The views are spectacular and it’s so quiet

Kristopher’s land is beautiful! We enjoyed the quiet and scenic location. The roads to get to the property are a tad bumpy but we were also towing a 30 foot trailer. Kristopher was a great host.... excellent communication!

A beautiful and peaceful place to stay. Nice very pre-set area for cooking/grilling, eating, and relaxing by the fire. Beautiful Colorado Mountains surround you. Can be warm (June) with no shade, recommend bringing a canopy, but must be prepared for the normal Hartsal (valley) winds. Steep down grade into site, but directions were spot on. We definitely try this spot again.

Such a cute and isolated spot to camp! The views were spectacular! We booked the site on the windiest weekend ever so when we arrived, the grill had been busted up by the wind and was knocked over. We couldn’t get it working at all that weekend which was a bummer but it’s no ones fault it’s windy. Follow Kris’ directions and you’ll find the spot with no problems. Don’t attempt this drive without an all wheel drive vehicle that’s higher off the ground; there are trenches to drive over that even my Subaru probably couldn’t have managed. We took our Jeep and were fine, though. Beware the only gas station in the area in Hartsel does not require their customers to wear masks. Multiple maskless people were in and out of this place. It’s worth it to get gas in Johnson Village where the people are respectful and wear masks. Be prepared to bring everything you need to this campsite and pack it all out when you leave. It was windy and cold, but the star gazing was worth it. Thanks Kris!

Thanks again for booking with us Brenda! The wind does get bad out there at times. I'll be out there soon to repair or replace the grill and make sure it is better secured for future use. I'll be sure to add the information about the trenches to the listing description. These are fairly new additions to the road. Hartsel is really small, we usually drive an extra 15 minutes to Fairplay for all of our needs. Thanks again and hope you'll book with us again in the future!

Kristopher’s site was great and just what we expected. Because of the fire ban, there was a propane fire pit provided, which was a really nice touch since camping just doesn’t feel right without a fire. There is also a grill, which we didn’t end up using. It was nice to have lots of open space for our dogs to roam without bothering anyone. We would come back with a larger group next time because the space is big and lends itself well to group camping. Kristopher was a great host, super responsive, and very detailed with directions and helpful info.

Kristopher was the most attentive and responsive compared to other hosts we have had. His property was well maintained, peaceful, with a great view. Directions can be tricky so be sure to get details from the host before leaving home. I suggest turn by turn directions to avoid confusion, inconsistency, and intermittent satellite connection using GPS.
