First night ever camping drove from Houston to the rabbit hole, 100% worth it! The sunrise was beyond beautiful, the stars left me in aw I had never seen anything like that before, I’m attending grad school in Denver so I hope to be back here sooner rather later! The dogs were so sweet as well one of them stayed w/ us all night an amazing stay.

This is the best camping spot I've ever seen! The most beautiful view of these massive mountains, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, opportunities for star-gazing, and puppy love from the sweetest pups. The hosts were amazing and responsive. Love this place, great experience all around, will be back!

A great place to stay with a great view. The camp ground sections are nicely spaced apart so you have plenty of room. Its pretty much black out, no light pollution so its a great place to do stargazing. The Pyrenees there are very friendly and do a good job guarding the land.

PLEASE READ

Two things to know/remember:
1) As a heads up to fellow dog lovers and dog owners, the pyrs do have fleas (but thats to be expected since they work outside) so don’t panic if you get bites, but keep an eye on your pup or use permeative solutions. In miss Kaylee’s defense (one of the pyrs) my friend actively sought her out for loves and cuddles. She got the most bites, but fortunately for humans the bites don’t itch. My pup, Max, is a pyr mix so he enjoyed guarding with them. He got fleas, but a quick bath was all it took to get rid of them.

2) This is for you, the possible visitor or past visitors. PICK UP WHAT YOU PACK IN. Jen is nice enough to let people use her land to witness the beautiful landscape, and people are leaving behind their sacks of trash?? Please pick up after yourself and throw away your trash in a proper trash receptacle. Especially since dogs are on the land and they could step on something and injure their paw or eat something and get sick. Just do the right thing.

Max after he did some rounds with Kaylee! A happy dog!Stargazing! My pup max enjoying the sunset and laying in the cool sand.Miss Kaylee joining us by the fire.

Thank you, Madison! The dogs are on their way to the groomers very soon so hopefully that will be remedied ASAP. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay, the darkness and silence are both very… deep. The Valley is a special place indeed! So many stars! And thank you, about the trash. It’s hard to keep up with that and people leaving trash behind is disrespectful. Pack it out, peeps! Come back anytime, and thanks for your genuine feedback and thorough review. I appreciate it.

Beautiful place, we loved our one night stay. Two of the dogs visited with us, one stayed onsite the entire time and enjoyed the pets.

This was an absolutely beautiful spot with a great sandy flat site, nice fire pit, and good distance between sites. The mountain views were amazing. The Pyrenees were super friendly, loved my children and posted outside of our tent to keep us safe. There was a playful family of red-fox right across from our campsite that provided hours of enjoyment. Only thing I would add is that the road was a little rough in one spot after a rain and we had to put it in 4WD to get through it. I imagine it is fine when dry though.
