Beautiful unobstructed views of Mt. Blanca Massif and the Great Sand Dunes. Only a 35 minute drive from both to include Zapata Falls. Fishing is 15 minutes north at San Luis Lakes or the Rio Grande. Alamosa is 25 minutes away and has a population of around 10,000, so has the goods and services you will need. Camping here is primitive and dispersed (no numbered sites) and there 30 acres available for you to use. Typically you will feel solitude and silence that feels other-worldly, with incredible sunrises and sunsets filling the enormous skies. Holidays still offer the excellent location and spectacular views, but are likely to be more busy. Our three Great Pyrenees are there to keep our chickens (and campers) safe from coyotes, but be careful leaving food or trash in tents as a family of foxes has been hanging around this summer. Please keep your pets on leash or under control until you’re comfortably certain they get along with our gentle giants. Quiet time begins at 10pm.

Jens place was great! Remote with beautiful sunsets. It was great having the three very sweet great pyrannis keeping us safe at night. Look forward to returning.

Good place to stay near the Great Sand Dunes Nat’l Park. Unfortunately, there was quite a bit of litter around the campsite.
I realize “leave no trace” doesn’t mean anything to a lot of campers these days, but it would be nice if the host could make an effort to keep the site cleaner. We picked up some trash so we didn’t have to look at it.

We LOVED staying at RHR!!! We were a larger group (11) and had plenty of space! Our site was secluded; we saw so many stars and had the most amazing sunrise view over the mountains!

As for logistics, We booked two sites and had multiple changes in plans and Jen was amazing and gracious through all of it. It was a little tricky to find the right road but with Jen's heads up, we stopped at the Mosca Pit Stop and found our way after that.

We 100% want to come back next year!

Great and easy location. Bring bug spray for at night. The hosts dogs are super nice and keep unwanted critters away.

We had a great two night stay at Rabbit Hole! Great if you want to totally unplug and do nothing but stare at beautiful vistas! A sky filled with stars at night! We are breaking in a new Camper so we were self sufficient. Roads were in good condition and host was super communicative and friendly!

Amazing, secluded spot! Booked on a whim to see what we could find and loved it. There for a full moon and perfect weather, so the silence and peace were perfect.

Oooh you got to experience the Rabbit Hole Ranch at its best! Silent and moonlit. It feels so other-worldly when it’s like that. Glad you loved it!!

Beautiful campsite and was perfect for our trip to the Great Sand Dunes! Dogs were definitely an added bonus and we loved how easy the site was to find and navigate even when we initially arrived after dark.
