Arrive to a mini ranch with donkeys serenading your arrival. If you're lucky, you might even have goat, duck, and chicken visitors as you relax under the shade of the big pine tree, where your picnic table overlooks the mountain range directly in front. Feel free to take a short walk in the sagebrush and admire the unique rock formations. A non-potable water spigot is available, which is safe for animals to drink from. Please bring your own water or filtration system for human consumption. We are conveniently located off of Highway 13 between the town of Rifle and Meeker, however this means that you can hear traffic noise. It does become more quiet in the evenings.

Great hosts and spot! No AT&T/Verizon but there is WiFi powered by Starlink.
If you are looking to take a break from all your devices and signal, this is close enough to feel connected but far enough away to take a break. The location is clean and easy to find with super friendly and accommodating hosts. It's not far off the main road so you do get a little of the truck noise, but thankfully it is interspersed with the wonderful sounds of farm animals. The location was perfectly for what we wanted to do. We were in a converted camper van and spent most of the day out and about exploring the amazing activities Rifle has to offer, and returned to camp for the evenings.
Kathleen and her place were great. Loved sharing the space with the animals.
We had a great time! The site was beautiful and Kathleen was super hospitable. Would definitely recommend and look forward to visiting again.
Beautiful property, gracious host. She allowed my daughter to visit with the farm animals and float in the spring fed pond.
A lovely spot. As an elder, I felt safe. Clean and well organized. Hosts are quick to respond and gentle in their welcome and visits.
It was beautiful and our hosts were so kind! They introduced our kids to the animals and helped us navigate an interstate closure. 10/10!
Great camping, farm animals, small pond for cooling off with tiger salamanders, clean portapotty…only downside was more highway noise than I’d like
