Such a fun and unique experience!
My family of 4 had the absolute best time at Rhize Mountain Retreat...they even allowed our little pup to run around off-leash! We rented out the adjoining Hawk and Blue Jay A-frames and it was perfect. I loved all the attention to detail both - esthetic and practical. The property is a rare gem and Misty and Ron are the hosts with the most. We enjoyed the pancake breakfast so much, as well as the trails around the area. Just the best time! We will be back!
We had a WONDERFUL but brief stay with Misty at her incredible little hideaway. We had to drag ourselves away to continue our road trip, otherwise we might've never left! Misty and her husband were amazing hosts, the campsite is super cool and thought through the last detail, and the pizza is a MUST. We can't wait to find a way back there one day :)
I cannot fully put into words how amazing and wonderful staying here was. I was on a cross country road trip with a friend and my pup Nelson and found this ever so charming listing on hipcamp. Misty and her husband are the absolute sweetest! We had an incredible time chatting, making our own pizza's and sitting by the fire making smores! It was so comforting to let my pup, Nelson, wander around and explore off leash without worrying too much. Bonus: We got to see the Milky Way and several shooting stars!
Without hesitation, I would hands down recommend this listing and plan on staying again when I am in the neighborhood.
Only good vibes and positive energy in those beautiful mountains!

Ah, what a great little trip. My husband and I are from Colorado Springs and didn't want to travel too far for a one night stay. It took about an hour to get here :) WE LOVED IT! Misty and Ron are fabulous hosts. Take advantage of the add-ons when checking out... totally worth every penny!! We will be booking again and can't wait!
A blissful camping
Misty and Ron are absolutely fabulous! Always such a pleasure staying at their camping oasis. We bring a big group each year and there is always so much to do. You need to stay here, never fails to please!
This is the best night I have spent camping in my life! It was not only a beautiful drive to get to the camp sight but the entire set up was amazing! The host went well above all our expectations and made us feel like family. They really thought of everything you would need for a perfect night out! Close enough to the city but far enough away to feel at peace! I can’t wait to come back very soon! Thank you for sharing this slice of heaven!
Rhize Mountain Retreat is such a wonderful place to stay. Misty and Ron are gracious and kind hosts, so very thoughtful. This is off grid glamping at its best! I thought the property was just as described and probably better. It is rustic, but they’ve made it comfortable and convenient. We were there for my daughters 10th birthday celebration, a little mom/daughter retreat. She loved every minute! Misty and Ron both took time to do a little something special for her. I know we made some wonderful memories! Thank you, Misty and Ron!! We sat around the campfire with some of the other campers who were all lovely people.
Truly a little slice of heaven
I have to say this was an incredibly beautiful retreat. Our hosts, Misty and Ron, were some of the nicest people you will ever meet, and very accommodating. The little A Frames that they have on the place are comfortable and full of amazing little touches, as are the rest of the facilities. The common area with the kitchen and fire pit was very convenient and they have everything you need to cook a simple meal or a gourmet one. The first night up we opted to purchase the pizza meal where our hosts had a great spread of pizza toppings and dough to make our own personal pie. Our host Ron then cooked them up in the brick pizza oven and they were scrumptious. We spent our evenings by the fire in the common area and got to know some of the other campers and had lots of laughs. What a great group of people! When it was time to say goodnight for the evening I found it best for star gazing to leave the door to the A-frame up so I could enjoy the night sky. It is more than obvious that this is a labor of love for the owners. I can't wait to bring the whole family!
