The views to get to this campground is beautiful. The atmosphere was very quite and other campers were so polite. The cabins are clean . They provided firewood for us to purchase which was really nice. Clean bathrooms and shower areas. Would definitely stay there again . Loved our stay ❤️

Overall the campground and individual site were fine. However, it was in a circle of other tent sites and right in front of two cabins. On the other side of the small creek are RVs so there was really no privacy. The area was rocky so make sure you bring a mat of some sort. We did not have any issues with check-in and there is a camp store if you forget something. The showers were hot, however, they were flooded when we arrived and left water in the entire bathroom causing it to get shut down for part of our stay. Also just not the cleanest facilities in general. There was also an incident with a topless older woman which I hope is not a staple of this campground but just our misfortune. There were A LOT of kids which would not bother me but they were screaming well past quiet hours and running through our campsite, even with an open fire. The campground is also right off the highway so you will get street noise all night. There are no bear lockers either. So if you don't mind noise and want to come in a large group you're in the right spot. But if you want privacy, clean facilities, and respected quiet hours, I recommend you keep looking.

My car battery died overnight while we were staying here at Lone Duck Campground. Without hesitation, the gentleman at the desk came to give us a jump and made sure we were good. Great hosts. The amenities were awesome too. They offer free coffee in the morning, free showers, a swimming pool, fishing, and even an old school arcade. Great spot to camp, especially if you have children. The only thing I have to mention is that the sites are very small and close together but overall we loved our stay and will be back!

Great amenities open pretty late. Fantastic location close to so many fun things. Down side to being close to so many great things is that this is a very tightly packed car camping situation close to a busy road. Basically no privacy and a fair amount of road noise. It was perfect as a base camp for going to do a bunch of stuff but I wouldn’t want to go here to hang out all day.

Well kept. Nice amenities. Reminds me of a KOA. Stays quiet during quiet hours. Really appreciated the zero tolerance no smoking marijuana policy. Staff helpful and nice.

Didn’t use pool or playground so can’t say anything about it.
2 showers is very minimal but yay it’s camping I guess!
Campsite itself is good, very close from a busy highway but that’s what every reviews said so no surprise here. We were in a tent by the stream and it didn’t cover the highway noise.
Also, wish quiet hrs were more enforced. Had to go see my neighbor past 10:15 to ask him to turn off his generator.

Pretty decent campground. Not private, but still woodsy and it was nice to have a camp store and pool (though we didn’t end up using it). It was nice that the inside seating area is open 24 hours so we could sit and play games later at night when it was cold (and also be able to charge our phones). Very convenient location to Pikes Peak.

We loved this campsite for its handy location, amenities, and the very kind neighbors.
The location was handy to highway 24 and all the hiking we wanted to do during the days. The amenities made camping easier: showers, heated lounge with microwave and hot coffee, & swimming pool all made it fun.
The reviews about small campsites are true. We were packed in VERY close to other campers, so the experience will be much dependent on your neighbors. We lucked out with a very kind and calm family next to us. Other guests seemed low key and not prone to noise.
The campground is right next to the highway and a little tricky to enter since the entrance isn't well marked, but once you find it you'll remember next time. The road noise is also pretty constant, but we found that site T5 was near enough to the creek that the water drowned out the traffic at night.
The staff was friendly and helpful and even helped us find a new site when we needed to stay an extra night. Overall this was a great experience. It's not fancy, but the location and very functional amenities were just what we needed. Thank you Lone Duck!

The staff and the campground were great and kept up. It is next to a state highway but they have no control over that. Plan on running your air to drown out road noise. We used it to be close to Pike’s Peak, Cave of the Winds, and Garden of the Gods. The original site info stated 25’ but in the description said it would fit up to a 30’ camper. They communicated well and measured and said the drive was 25’ and backed toward a hill. Unfortunately there is a large split tree there and the one trunk was too low to back in. I had to back in at an angle over the fire pit. I wasn’t camping there as we were gone all day, slept there at night and gone again. This is the chance you take when you are finding a site, it was one of two available there when I booked. If you have a sprinter van or a camper under 11 feet tall, you should be fine. If you have kids they will have plenty to do

We much enjoyed the clean and well organized facilities of Lone Duck. The tent site was clean and spacious. Firewood sold burned great. Great little camping for the traveller.

I didn’t have time to enjoy all the amenities as I was only there for one night, but the space I had was great and a little secluded. The people at the front desk were nice and helpful. It was only a 10 minute drive to Colorado Springs.
There was a little noise from the highway but only until about 6:30 pm, and it didn’t bother me.

a lot of kids running around.
Great if that's your thing.
But we like our privacy, and the site were very close together.
The location was great as we did get to spend time at the garden of the gods.

Not my cup of tea. Had to pay $8 for a fish that I couldn’t throw back. I don’t eat fish, it’s just for sport. Potts potty’s full. Gross. Staff was nice.

Loved the clean showers & restrooms and the heated game room! They served coffee at 5:30a in the game room, so if you're up early in the morning be sure to stop by...Due to the size of our tent, we changed campsites (to I believe 29a) which was by the stream. It was nice to listen to the stream and it also helped to drown-out the highway noise. Campsite is positioned between Manitou Springs & Woodland Park and is only a 30min drive from Colorado Springs, CO so is an ideal location. We found there were quite a few activities off of Highway 24: hiking in Woodland Park, Tour Castle & Cliff Dwellings in Manitou and shop in Manitou & Old Colorado City.
Campsite was smallish, so if you're bringing a large tent or gear then suggest calling in advance to get their recommended campsite. There appear to be several campsites to choose from, but as always suggest booking in advance!
