We had a chilly but lovely stay the weekend of Oct 19/20. Ryan was super responsive and hospitable--the fire kept the yurt really cozy even though it snowed and temperatures were in the 20's. The RV was a lifesaver for cooking delicious food and there was plenty of equipment to cook with and plenty of spare firewood around to keep us warm. Stars were incredible!
Ryan was an awesome host! He greeted us and kindly gave a tour of his property and where to find everything. The yurt was easy to find and very accessible. The view from the yurt was absolutely stunning and the property was really quiet. The driveway was a bit rocky for my little sedan, but after some help from Ryan, we got out safely. It was a memorable time and I would definitely recommend!
We had a lovely get away at hummingbird mountain! The yurt was cozy and had a beautiful mountain view. Ryan was a great host. He had everything all set up for our stay; stove and cookware, solar shower, picnic area and lockable cooler. This place is a gem, not far out of the city but feels very secluded.
We had a wonderful time in the yurt. Great location, so much to do, and the camp stove was a great option during the fire ban. Loved the amenities of having a toilet and a grill to use. The views are amazing and we got to see a beautiful sunset. Highly recommend!

The land was beautiful, our host was very friendly and helpful! He seemed very knowledgeable about the area. The camp was well kept. Our only wish was we had brought a larger vehicle to get up the road to the property.

Thanks for staying Kylie!
We tried calling Ryan on our way, the phone went straight to voice mail which was full. So we drove up anyway. We drove on a so called road that was not fit for cars our Ford edge barley made it. Roads are not marked a sign with 241 posted sideways on a tree so we went that way two people were out side of a house so I stopped and ask if one of them was Ryan No we dot know a Ryan. One of them said that maybe the guy at the bottom of the hill, so we proceeded past a tree with a tire on it that said Absolutely no Trespassing then 50 feet later another tree with Another Tire thatsays That Means You !then down a washed out 15% incline of a road (path). At the bottom of the hill/ end of the road was a house with 241 on the side. I got out knocked on the door no answer/ a few lights on inside knocked on the side of a camper hollered for Ryan no answer. Looked around the property a little No yurts it was starting to get dark and it was a little creepy to be honest. I went back to the car and my wife was ready to get out of there and don't look back. It appears that this yurt thing is a scam. We had to drive back to Boulder Co. To get a room for the night. I tried to call Ryan the next day no luck and 4 days later have still Never heard one word out of RYAN !

Hey Scott, unfortunately I was in the shower when you arrived at 8:28, and you left at 8:32 before I could even get out and be decent. Sorry that your expectations were not met, google and Apple maps will direct you to my house no problem, and being a remote community I regularly have all the neighbors over for dinner and games, so I find it unlikely you spoke to someone that did not know me or my property. I saw on the cameras that you searched around the garage and the camper, but had you continued down the driveway extension a short distance you would have been at the Yurt and picnic table. If you would like to contact me and set a date to try again, I’d like to change your opinion. Clearly with so many positive reviews, I am far from a scam and work to help everyone have an enjoyable experience.
Beautiful views, quiet, safe. Great night with my college kids before they headed off to college
The yurt is cool and comfortable, and the fireplace is a special touch. But the real reason to stay here is for the view by the picnic table. It's an incredible panoramic vista of huge, snow-capped mountains. The sunset was breathtaking. It's a one of a kind place.
