Unfortunately, this was not what we expected. Nobody should pay to stay here.
Heather and the Homestead Ranch campsite is incredible. Upon arriving there, is an absolute killer drive up the mountain for a beautiful scenic view. When entering, you'll be greeted by five dogs that are as sweet as can be. I felt way safer with the dogs being there because of the wildlife that could be lurking. However, overall was a great time. They have so many ideas to improve the place and was kind enough to tell us about them with a walk around their 50 acres of land. We also got to milk goats for the first time, which was an experience in itself. Pretty great! So many animals that you are generally not exposed to, which makes the place a unique stay for sure. Plenty of hiking Opportunites as it's super close to Horsetooth and many other great trails, and horseback riding activities in which they offer. Highly recommend Homestead ranch to anyone who's thinking about staying. :D

Great place. Great views. We had s dog situation and had to cut our visit short.
Loved it. My daughter and friends had a blast and loved milking the goats and playing with the animals. The only thing I would say if you have a small dog that gets nervous it might be better to keep them home. Other than that I would love to go again and so would the kids.

Do not stay here! The picture is totally deceptive. The nearby land is nice but the campsite is trashy and dingy, next to a herd of goats with a crappy fence and plastic goat shelters and stuff. I took my twin 8 year old boys there and I’m a 200 pound adult male and it didn’t feel safe. So I burned 2 hours getting to this crappy place and the host refused to give me a refund. I was VW Rey persistent and mange’s to find some good remote camping.
Heather was a fantastic host! The animals were all very friendly and a joy that added to our camping experience! Highly recommend this site for a great trip near Fort Collins!
Such a fun overnight getaway! The drive up & down the mountain was incredible! Perfect spot to camp, goats galore, and loyal guard dogs that protect you from the wildlife. The only downsides were the post-rain mud, and the dogs barked a few times throughout the night & woke us up. Thanks!
So much fun! All the animals and the host were great!
This was a great place. Our girls loved all the goats, and the hosts were nice enough to saddle up some horses and let them ride. They could not have been nice. Great experience.

You are rude and very disrespectful to folks that work hard to open up their personal property to the public. I am a single mom rhay runs a fully functioning farm and im sorry if my 600 dollar a roll fence is crappy to you, the huts that are plastic are for the goats to get out of inclement weather. We moved folks to this spot due to high bear mtn.lion activity but you would not know that because you never even spoke with me. I hope you don't disrespect others this way. Good day to you.
