This is a REMOTE PRIMITIVE camping spot - high clearance vehicle (Subaru, truck, or SUV) recommended. Pitch your tent, or park your offroad camper/trailer in a secluded meadow surrounded by the beautiful rocky outcroppings, pine trees, and the ridges that overlook Durango's Mesa. No houses, buildings, lights, poles or any sign of improvements are visible from the camping spot.... only the dilapidated barb wire fence separating the meadow from the public BLM land. Views out over the mesa can be had with a short scramble up to the top of any of the nearby ridges.
