Covid update: Since we value the health and safety of our guests, we have raised the price for this campsite to be able to hire my neighbor to spray down with disinfectant the equipment after each camping grouo. We hope you understand. This is a private tent camping experience at a clearing in the middle of the aspen grove or a pull through trailer space at the bottom of the hill. The snow covered Continental Divide peeks through the trees. Up the hill it are three great tent sites reachable with a car and backing against bristlecone pine trees hundreds of years old. The best tent sites are marked with solar lamps. One is the flat area leveled with a machine. The other two are up against the pine trees as natural flat areas. This is also the best site for large campers. Campers and RV's park at the bottom of the hill on a perpendicular pull through trail. With a large RV or trailer go right of the dirt pile then curve left and park in the clearing near the edge of the aspen stand. Anything over 22 ft. should use this site. This is an area with neighbors that like privacy and quiet time after dark. If you are planning a loud party, go to the BLM land. NO GUNS OR FIREWORKS!

Great stay, love the area and very quiet and peaceful.
It was my 2nd stay at this spot and it never disappoints. I love the privacy the camping site offers and all the open space surrounding the spot offer a lot of space for our dog to run and a great spot to sit and start watch. John has a propane fire pit for when fire bans are in effect and a grill. This is definitely one of my favorite spots to camp in Colorado.
I would not recommend this camp site for camper vehicles. There is no level spot to camp. You cannot get in to the actual site as there is no space to maneuver. The directions were bad and there is no phone service to get a hold of the owner for help. The dirt road was wash board and rutted. Overall it was very overpriced. It is sad that the owner is taking advantage of the virus to raise the price as nothing is clean. The grill was filthy and disgusting.
Great secluded spot, with quick access to a couple of state parks. Great that they provided a fire pit since there is a fire ban.
Great location on a beautiful piece of land near lots of lake fun at spinney tarryall and eleven mile parks. We camped in our trailer but we're able to check out the two tent spots on site which looked excellent.
Everything we hoped it would be! The propane fire pit and camp toilet were much appreciated!

It was great, only negative- it was very buggy (Mosquitos) so bring spray. We had a great time in a beautiful location.
We brought two pull trailers and stayed at clearing in the aspen, site #3. Jon was super helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had. We had a total of 7 kids with us. The spot was perfect for a weekend get away! The kids had so much fun gathering all the grasshoppers and caterpillars! It was so wonderful to let the kids run around and not worry about other cars driving around! There was a propane fire pit that was provided, just bring your own propane, which was a nice alternative since there was a fire ban. We took a little trip to Tarryall reservoir for fishing. Overall great stay!
