Easy camping near mancos
This was a convenient stopover for me on my camping trip. We found the place easily with Lori’s directions, even in the dark. The place was easy to get to (and easy to pop in to Mancos for breakfast), and she has several nice level spots to set up a tent (or just sleep out in the open). Very nice views, convenient access to bathroom, friendly dogs! I would happily camp here again.
Lori is an amazing hostess and this property is absolutely beautiful! The group campfire at night was a lot of fun, and the amenities that Lori provides make camping here comfortable and easy.
Warm fire, hot shower, cute dogs!
Stayed here two nights, would definitely stay again! Very easy to access Mesa Verde (you can see Point Lookout from the property). After camping for a few days elsewhere, it was great to have an indoor bathroom with flush toilet and hot shower. I also had cell reception (GoogleFi). We even got to hang with Lori at the communal campfire, but if you want something more private, there are several sites further away to choose from. Bonus: Lori has two adorable, friendly, soft dogs!
What a great place to set up camp! It's right outside Mesa Verde National Park, and there's a toilet and shower available. Lori was super friendly with quick communication. Bonus: super sweet doggos on the property!
Ponder the ancients of mesa verde
Great place to stay after a day visiting Mesa Verde National Park. Stop at Mancos Overlook in the park and you can spot her place down in the valley…cool.
Great place to park our van :) :)
Lori’s property is absolutely beautiful. The views are stunning. The showers and indoor plumbing were much appreciated by my friend and I. As an added bonus, Lori’s dogs are absolutely adorable and so friendly. I spent quite a bit of time with them this morning drinking my coffee :) Additionally, Lori’s place is a 10 minute drive from Mesa Verde National Park (which is a must-see IMO- we spent 6 incredible hours there today). We like the location so much that we added on an extra night. It’s a 15 minute drive to delicious Mexican food in town as well. We would 100% stay here again and we would change nothing :) thank you so much, Lori, for your hospitality!

Amazing views and kind host
We booked last minute yet Lori still made us feel welcomed. We settled in and saw an amazing sunset over the ridge at Mesa Verde- it took my breath away! (photos just don't do it justice...but I did post some).
We slept well in our converted Honda Element and managed to stay warm enough after adding an extra blanket. We were glad to not be on the ground as it was a bit muddy after recent rains and chilly night.
Got to play with three pups she was fostering and the two resident dogs that warmed up to us.
Loved how close it was to Mesa Verde National Park. Go in to Mancos for breakfast at the Absolute Cafe and Bakery- well worth it!
