This campsite is simply land. No trees, no structures.. this listing offers 5 acres of land and I only allow 2 bookings at a time, so you will have plenty of room...just raw, flat land with stellar 360 degree views. There are absolutely no amenities of any kind...it is just land to park/camp on. Car or truck access via a dirt road (bumpy, but easily passible by car). AT&T and Verizon work well around the site, and I think Sprint and T-Mobile work, but may be a little spotty... please feel free to leave you cell coverage experiences in the feedback after you stay to help other campers. IF YOU NEED TO CALCULATE DISTANCES TO/FROM ANOTHER LOCATION.. the camping spot is about 9 miles south of Hartsel, Colorado.

The expectations set by the hosts description is spot on, but in the best way! There are some neighbors that can be seen, but not anything close enough to be a bother. The camping areas that are visibly used are on a hillside that sets you up to have 360 degree views and the views are gorgeous all the way around! Definitely a great place to stay if you want to get away from the world!
Absolutely amazing view! It is just like Shannon says. Just plain, flat land. The solitude, and amazing sunsets, and sunrises are breathtaking. Beautiful, raw country at its best.
Pretty scenery with a few drawbacks
Very pretty place to camp; however, there were a few drawbacks:
Lots of mosquitos, loud radio (most likely someone leaving for work) at 4:30 am which woke us up, and very long gravel and bumpy road to get there. The directions were completely accurate, but they could have given a warning about the bumpiness of the gravel road. Lastly, the instructions weren’t completely clear on where exactly to camp- ended up putting our tent where we predicted the host meant.
This was our first hipcamp stay and it was definitely a positive experience. We enjoyed our stay. Gorgeous views in every direction and private. Close to great hiking in the Buena Vista/Nathrop area.
We didn’t use google maps but just the written directions. I would use google in the future. The Directions were not accurate but got ahold of Shannon and he corrected and sent a map. Remote spot and quiet-no amenities but good view. 5 miles of very bumpy washboards to get to spot. Had decent Verizon service.
