Perfect for animal lovers!
Staying at Symphony Fibers Alpaca Farm was one of our most unique camping experiences. We arrived in the afternoon and received a warm welcome from one of our hosts, Karen. The property was on a spacious farm about an hour or so from Denver with roaming chickens, dogs and alpacas. Neighboring properties had goats and horses! We played a few of the lawn games provided by the hosts and then grabbed dinner at Little Valley Smokehouse, a cute BBQ place nearby. We got back to camp just in time for a fantastic tour of the alpaca farm during feeding time! We helped feed the chickens and gave treats to the alpacas, and watched a beautiful sunset in the valley. Dave and Karen shared so many wonderful stories of raising these animals, and we came away with great memories and a nagging desire to get a few of our own alpacas someday!
Dave and Karen were immensely gracious hosts, with both their time and the extra bits of care they put into making this an experience, not just an overnight camping space. The facilities clean and well maintained, the space was level and private, the porta-a-potty provided was very clean, and the animals really make this a treat. They also have an area where you can use cell phone chargers, play lawn games, and buy treats. We also highly recommend the farm sampler package they sell too! Both hosts checked in to make sure there wasn’t anything they could do for us, which we appreciated. Our advice is to make sure you are around at feeding time for the animals! It was a great time!
Dave and Karen are the coolest! My boyfriend and I camped here and had a lovely time. They are so sweet and accommodating- they offered an outlet for charging and cables (amazing to have after a week of camping), and introduced us to their lovely dogs and alpacas! This was an amazing experience and we will have to stop back by next time we are in the Denver area. Thank you Dave and Karen!!
Beautiful location with the nicest hosts. The tour of the farm was so much fun and my husband and kids were smitten with the alpacas and pasture dogs. The campsite was clean and tidy. Would absolutely stay here again.
